Our party of four was squeezed into a table for eight that already had five guests seated. I had expected the manager to relocate us to a more suitable table. Additionally, the waitress did not clearly explain the meal courses and seemed more focused on upselling items such as the special steak, bottled water, or other add-on options, rather than providing the general information we needed.
SOOOO understaffed and horribly managed They were not prepared for the crowd and continued to accept walk ins when they did not have enough staff to cover reservations. Sat someone who checked in AFTER us and apologized in advance while doing it anyway.
We had a decent time but I knew that there was more that could've been done . First off I booked the diner under BIRTHDAY & still had to remind the waitress that it was my husband birthday . Lastly , I expected a small level of skills with the utensils & the table right next to us got all of that & my experience just seemed simple .
Everything was pretty good until time to pay, was using an exclusive offer that didn't seem to have in their system.
We usually love Hibachi - this time not so much. The restaurant was very crowded & loud, which is fine for a Saturday night. The air was very smoke filled and felt like the cooks vents were broken or not used. Our chef continually dropped his knives, did nothing to keep my kids attention, picked egg shells out of everything and even sprayed oil all over my son ruining his polo. He forgot certain dishes and food was very Slow!! Over 2 hours start to finish. The manager did provide a discount for ruining my sons shirt, which was much appreciated. However, we will not be returning to this location.
Still so nice to go for birthdays and celebrate milestones as we watch the classic chef show. Miso soup, salad with a ginger vinaigrette, hibachi chicken or salmon with udon noodles, fried rice, zucchini, mushrooms and grilled onions. Beating Heart. Mickey Mouse. Choo Choo Train. Always sharing our shrimp with our fellow dinners. (The dad next to us actually collected the shrimp from the entire table.) Finish with a hot jasmine tea and a scoop of green tea ice cream. Thanks to Chef Henry for our latest trip down memory lane. We will be back for another special celebration.
Alex our chef was nothing short of entertaining, accommodating and knowledgeable of the menu. The waitress got my order wrong and he was like no worries this is what you want and next time you ask for this...then there will be no mistakes. He went above and beyond. He made the price increases worth it. Cudos Alex!!!
I have been visiting Benihanna for twelve years. My birthday celebration was not great. A party of 9, the rice was crunchy with no flavor. One order was streak cooked medium but the cook put the streak on the plate without asking any of the party who ordered streak if the streak was cooked properly. When the person ask cooked if he could put streak back on cooker, was told no by the cook and manager cooked another one. No one was asked if they wanted ice cream. Luckily I was the birthday person. We requested melted garlic butter to pour on rice and cook put a teaspoon full of butter in the dish.
The hibachi experience is always fun. However, the experience at this location was okay and not exceptional.
Great service. Our waitress was amazing and the cook we just loved Bad Boy he called himself. He made the dining experience great.

The food is amazing! We have been going here for years celebrating birthdays and now its our tradition. Over the years the service has changed somewhat... Not sure how i feel about it yet.
Love this place. We try to go as much as possible.

First, the service was OUTSTANDING!! Our server was wonderful and was on top of everything we needed. As far as the rest goes, I am having to compare it to the Japanese restaurant we normally go to for hibachi and it just is not as good. We normally would have gone to our regular place, but we had to be on that end of town, so that is why we went to Benihana. But, the food is not as good and the prices have gotten way out of control. Lunch for 3 of us, with a tip, was $300.00 and we didn't get anything out of the ordinary. This same lunch at our regular place would have cost us 1/2 of that.
Great customer care,Great food we really had fun🤗
