While out with friends, we were craving Asian food (chow mein) and The Don popped up on Google Maps nearby so we gave a try.
The restaurant is small but chic and trendy. The owners are a couple that came to Houston from Hong Kong and Turkey via Canada where they met. The Don serves up a variety of Asian dishes and we decided to try out their Spicy Shrimp bento box, Beef Curry bento box, and some Chow Mein - even though it wasn't on the menu, the owners made a dish special for us!
The meal was wonderful but I have to give their spicy shrimp some more love. It was deliciously salty and spicy served over a bed of rice with some delicately fried tofu and a cabbage salad on the side.
The owners had us try one of their teas, and it was a hit according to my young friend.
Thanks to The Don, we had a great time and enjoyed meeting some great news friends and owners.

The Thai Tom Yum shrimp fried rice was very good. It had a slight kick to it for the spicy and it had a lime taste. I loved it and my son loved it. I would buy it over again! Also the staff was very friendly and nice and helpful! Give them a try!

My son loves the food and the owner. He made sure I rate it for her. She is very hospitable and eager to help make your meal exactly how you like it. My husband enjoyed his meal as well. It was easy to dine-in for us because it was an off-peak time and no one was there. There is only one table with 6 chairs. It is small and primarily a to-go restaurant with a kiosk to make ordering even easier. I especially enjoyed the iced coffee with coffee jelly boba. All of the teas we had were delicious.

I really enjoyed this meal! The bento box had a nice balance of flavors and textures. The rice was fluffy and topped with sesame seeds for a little extra nuttiness. The chicken was crispy and coated in a flavorful spicy sweet sauce with dried chilies that gave it a nice kick without being overwhelming. The seaweed salad was refreshing, slightly tangy, and paired well with the richness of the chicken. The kimchi added a bold, spicy bite that rounded out the box nicely.
