One of my preferred places for tasty burgers. It's so tasty. This place has a cool feel to it.

Ok location for quality burgers. I like it here, excellent food & service. I will be bringing friends next time. The bill was good for what you get. Food and atmosphere reminds me of Kansas City.

LOVE this place and SUPER SAD to see they have closed in the Heights. Praying they can return in the future. Their green chili cheese fries where my favoraite!

We end up here for dinner once a month. We really do love this local burger place. We have never had bad food here and they do a yummy, gooey, good burger. We have eaten a fair amount of their menu. And we really love their onion rings. We even went to Bellaire to order from them during the pandemic.

Out of all the hyped up burger joints I tasted in Houston this was one of the only few that was worthy of the hype. I thoroughly enjoyed the burger and if I'm ever in Houston again I'll definitely show up at the bus stop to hop on Bernie's Burger Bus again.

This place is just okay. They have good, fast service and the food is good. It's not great though. The food at the og location tastes better to me. Idk what it is, man. Maybe they actually have to be grilling out of a bus for the food to be off the charts. But yeah, I give it a solid B.

When I was a young child I rode the bus every day to Pine Tree elementary. Bus 32 picked me up and brought me home every day, unless it broke down. Then a back up bus came. Bus 32 was old and decrepit and carried the scent of 25 years of service of varying hygiene 70's-90's adolescents. For decades since, I have not been pro bus. A short time ago a good friend of mine let me ride on his bus. The broken trust of Bus 32 became a foggy recollection replaced by new memories of fun and joy. One day after this, I stumbled upon Bernie's Burger Bus. I was unsure if this would be more of the recent good bus experience or would the skeletons of Bus 32 haunt me again. I am delighted to say Bernie's is and has been a good experience. None of my childhood PTSD from bus rides comes back. Bernie's is not only a safe space but a happy space. Bringing good bus vibes and burger vibes for all.

Best buffalo chicken sliders in thd neighborhood. They are super spicy, i usually ask for the sauce on the side. Highly recommend.

This location was very clean, easy to park, and they also have an outdoor seating area! When you're seated you can definitely see the burger bus area, and boy are they busy taking and making orders! I was thrilled to find out they have a secret menu, don't be shy to ask! the onion rings are thick, so if you order any meat on top of the onion rings it is definitely a whole meal in itself. All the burgers are solid- just make sure you request for things you don't like .. such as fresh onions, mustard or whatever you dont want! I was a little blown away by the fry options: truffle fries, fries and cheese, fries with chili on top and more. Sheesh! Did i come to fry heaven? I got the fries with queso and for me and my bf it was a good portion. I almost ordered additional fries since they were generous with the queso. But since i am trying to eat better I didn't. hehehe. instead i used the rest of the queso to dip my burger in! muahaha! I just like these layers of flavors honestly. This burger bus has made it to top burgers of Houston so.. try it ok! Enjoy!

Went to Bernie's because I read about them in a Food Network story. Staff was friendly, the school bus kitchen was cute, and the Homeroom burger was delicious. I want to go back for their new chicken sliders because they looked great, but I obviously had to try a burger during my first visit.

Went to Bernie's and was very impressed with the warm, friendly, and engaged staff. The parking was great and the inside gave me such an amusement with the kitchen bus on the inside and the overall decor. The waiter was very patient and provided me a great 1st time experience. I had the chicken burger and it was soooooo flavorful. My date had an awesome burger choice as well. The one thing that took a "back seat" would be the fries....they were not hot and fresh like I usually expect; however, the sweet potato taste had a decent crisp and taste. The lemonade was phenomenal!!! Overall a four star considering no hot fries....but definitely a revisit must take place!!!

That homemade ketchup alone gives it 5 stars. But everything is amazing here, just trust me. Fries burgers spiked (or not spiked) milkshakes it's all delicious. My favorites are the cheerleader, the principal, and homeroom. My bestie loves la maestra.

This local burger was created in Justin Turner’s burger bus. The 3 brick and mortar locations feature a school bus as its kitchen that’s putting out terrific burgers, fries and shakes. One of the top burger joints in Houston

Love this place! If you’re a teacher, you’ll definitely appreciate the whole school theme. The burgers are awesome! We had the HOMEROOM BURGER, and tater tots. They have homemade ketchup, mustard, and ranch. They also have a full bar. We had Stewart as our bartender and he gave us the whole background behind the restaurant. They have HH every day from 3-7 pm!! I highly recommend Bernie’s Burger Bus.
