food is trash I had the chicken tenders horrible Mcdonald’s nuggets in a tender form. disgusting at best
Please note, this review is for a hospital cafeteria, and I'm basing it on the typical quality one should expect from such a setting. It's only fair to evaluate this experience with that in mind, rather than comparing it to a high-end steakhouse.
? Location: Finding the cafeteria on B1 can feel like navigating a maze. However, you should be able to reach it from any elevator, and the directions are clearly marked at every hallway intersection. If you get lost, just ask someone who looks like they work at the hospital for help.
? Breakfast: The café offers a good variety for breakfast, including a yogurt station with customizable toppings, a grill for freshly prepared options, and a station with premade items.
? Breakfast: Prices for the breakfast items, especially the premade options, are very reasonable.
? Breakfast: The cheesy scrambled eggs are light and taste almost too perfect.
? Breakfast: I didn’t try them, but they serve the biggest breakfast sausages I’ve seen.
? Lunch: There's an even larger variety for lunch, including a grill (burgers, fries, etc.), a sandwich bar, cafeteria staples, and some heavier options.
? Lunch: The mac & cheese was really good, surprisingly so.
? Lunch: The spaghetti's flavor was okay, but it was very easy to eat—no need to twist it around the fork.
? Lunch: The dirty rice had a nice spicy kick I didn’t expect. It could use a bit of salt, but that’s understandable, considering it's a hospital and some diners are on restricted diets.
? Dinner: I haven’t been late enough to try dinner service, so I can't provide feedback on that.

3⭐️ on "atmosphere" ONLY because (after all) it IS a basement floor hospital cafeteria.BUT, the food is very good & the service is great. They have a decent variety for a small footprint. Tasty, even.

My husband and I ate at the grill inside of the cafe today. The hamburger was horrible. My husband asked for lettuce and tomato he didn't get either. I ordered the grilled cheese I asked for extra cheese. I didn't get my request. The tall light skinned lady that was cooking attitude was very unpleasant. That is not the first time. Every time I go there an she is cooking her attitude is bad. No matter how nice you try to be to her. All of Her responses to questions and orders are so ugly you hate to go there. My husband has been in St. Luke's for a month and I eat there sometimes twice a day but today was the straw that broke the camels back. I will not eat there again. Not for that kind of service. It seems like she doesn't want to be there.

The food was poorly prepared by employee. I ordered a grilled cheese with extra cheese I didn't get my extra cheese. I asked the cook about it , her attitude was so bad I didn't bother about it. My husband had a double meat cheese hamburger she forgot to put the cheese and made it like it was his fault. She was very snappy. The more he was being nice to her the uglier she got. He asked for lettuce and tomato and didn't get it and the fries were cold. He ended up throwing it away.

Sort of scattered and slow. Wandering around looking for limited options. Drinks are coffees and energy drinks. Self checkout was confusing?

Can the manager of this facility do a better job of supporting the hospital staff and families looking to have a meal? It's 7:20 and it's open, but the workers have put up all the food. I know the workers are rushing to go home. Trust me, most of us here want to go home too. Maybe you all should just advertise closing at 7. Don't waste your time here or walking to it.

The server who works where the burgers and chicken strips are served is a horrible worker. She is slow with the orders, unorganized and very rude. If you don't like your job you can work somewhere else no one wants to deal with your bad attitude the patients, and their families are already going through enough.
Location is an attribute. Poor vegetarian options. Prepackaged food without prices. The snack boxes with vegetarian options were very small so I had to buy two, they consisted of two carrot sticks, two celery sticks, a few pretzels and hummus. Their fruit snack box had stale soggy crackers. I would have appreciated a wrap of some kind as an option.
On the basement level of St. Luke’s. Decent breakfast tacos; a fruit bar; recommend the Grill area as there are real eggs (vs. from powder) for omelets, cage free choice and a combo meal, along with pancakes and waffles. Starbucks coffee in carafes, half and half and French vanilla creamers! Beats the McDonalds on the 1st floor. Staff need to be friendlier as no one comes here to eat unless they are here because a loved one is hurting or they are treating loved ones.
I've eaten here many times while visiting loved ones in St. Luke's hospital. The food has always been good and the staff friendly :)
Closes 10 minutes early regularly.
