If I could give zero stars I would. My husband and I order the special which included an App, Entree and Dessert. The salad was bagged lettuce, just wilted and gross. I went with the filet which came over cooked and dry with no flavor, the pasta Alfredo was COLD with a spoonful of sauce. I sent it back and it returned worse. The crème brûlée was awful. The plates were dirty. It was an awful experience that I was sad to see my husband actually pay for. We ended up taking the food home for our dog. Never again!!!

This is a difficult review to write. I normally visit this restaurant on an evening when I am going to attend a show somewhere in the theater district. It is one of the few places you can go. Over the last several years I have constantly found the service to be bad, and I don't know if that is because they didn't bring in enough servers or just that they are so new to the service industry they are not fast enough. This night we were a few minutes late for our reservation but mostly because we were standing in the line to check in. We were told our reservation had been canceled but we could sit at the bar at a table for two. No problem we did that. We sat for 20 minutes before someone came to our table. We had no menu's but have eaten here often enough we knew what we were going to order. A bottle of Kendal Jackson, nope they are out of it again. Okay we selected another wine. We also ordered the meatballs and sausage appetizer. Waiting, waiting, waiting, the appetizer came, but not the wine. We finished the appetizer, and wait some more. The waitress came by twice both times promising our wine would be right out. Nope a second appetizer had been order, the artichoke dip (pass on this, it is not good) still no wine. Finally after about 40 minutes the wine arrived but now we are going to have to drink the wine quickly to make it to the show on time. All in all a bad experience but it in not the first time. We are going to look for another option for our preshow dinner.

We came here for my birthday after the Symphony hungry and ready to enjoy a meal together. Wouldn't accommodate vegetarian and lactose intolerant dietary restrictions. Wouldn't even entertain the offer of a salad or any other options that my partner could eat. Told us we'd probably just need to leave because they don't make accommodations. Absolutely disappointed. I assumed food would be cooked fresh at a restaurant like this and we could opt out of butter, but they wouldn't even try.
I have been a Birra's customer since the 1980s. The pizza has usually been reliable. Last night I took the pizza home and found the crust on the burnt side. I had to throw away part of the pizza. I also had the cannoli which had a tasty filling, but again such a hard crust, it exploded all over the table when I cut into it. Fortunately my dinner partner enjoyed his linguine with clams. The wine was good. Nice atmosphere. I guess if I return I should stick to the pasta.
Tables too close together. Bumped by waiter 4 times and water spilt on my sweater. The food was excellent. Calamari was best I've ever eaten. Loved the rich marinara sauce on the manicotti. Which creamy and rich. Getting the check was the longest wait.
Have not been there in quite awhile and loved that it was as wonderful as I remembered. Excellent food and service

Food was great but service was sub-par, granted that it was a very busy night but we felt that asking the waiter for anything was an inconvenience. We requested lemons for water never came we asked for water for guests that arrived later than us and not received. Never received even a water refill. My previous times everything was excellent do I think they were just having an off. Might.
Everything was amazing except the service was very disappointing. Everyone that came to our table was in a rush to drop off something and leave. We had to ask multiple times for items. Refills, sweetener for tea, silverware, Parmesan cheese, bread. We even told them we were celebrating a birthday. Nothing was acknowledged. When we got ready to leave, we had to ask multiple time for a check. We had to go and grab our debit card after they took it because they never brought it back. We told him we needed to leave at a certain time because we had tickets to go to the Hobby Center. No sense of urgency. Very very disappointing experience. This is our first time there. Not sure if we will be back.
great food- service seemed rushed though. our check was brought to us before we were done ordering, would've loved to have enjoyed more food/drinks. will be back.
Really bad service with the excuse that they received too many people that day. Ordered a soup and never came, ordered bread and I first finished my pasta before it came. My daughter ordered a drink and it took forever to get it.
Great food and atmosphere!! Jonathan is the BEST waiter! He is very friendly welcoming and attentive! Will be requesting him every time! 10/10 would recommend.
