The food, atmosphere, and customer service was all top notch! 6 people all ordered different things and there were rave reviews across the whole table. Fresh ingredients in the food and the tasty drinks. Clrissa is AMAZING and made us feel comfortable and welcome!! We will be back!

The food here is amazing, but that’s not the impetus of this review. We were coming in from out of town and visited this place three days in a row and they recognized us on the third day and we’re so welcoming. Eli was our server and he was top-notch. The Shakshukka is so good so authentic huge portions great ambience you must come eat breakfast here.

Had an amazing brunch at Black Walnut Cafe! I'm a very forgetful 25-year-old and showed up ready for a mimosa, only to realize I left my ID at home. I explained to the waiter that I'm always forgetting it (my friends are always telling me, “Don’t forget your ID!” 😂). We had a good laugh about it, and I went with a delicious vanilla latte instead, which was perfect.
The best part? After we paid, the waiter came back with a slice of chocolate cake and a little note written next to it: “Don’t forget your ID!” 😂 It was such a funny and thoughtful gesture—it really made my day! 🧁 Great food, amazing service, and a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Visited Black Walnut in Rice Village for date night and loved it. Great menu, fast service, and really delicious food. Even though you usually order at the counter, Glendy stepped in and took amazing care of us—truly excellent service. Date night approved. We’ll definitely be back. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Nashville chicken Benedict was amazing! The chicken strips for the chicken and waffles was a bit under seasoned but the waffle was crispy in the outside and soft on the inside. Grits were buttery and creamy. The hummingbird cake was some of the best cakes I've had in a long time, moist and flavorful!
