I went to eat today for the first time I visited the place, very pleasant atmosphere, excellent food, perfect attention, Andrés received us and explained the system to us, very grateful, he also recommended the Cod Plate, and the apple cheese cake, exquisite and 100% recommended, great experience, excellent food, wanting to try much more of his other dishes.

We have a great experience every time we dine at Black Walnut in Rice Village. The food is consistently delicious, and the staff is always helpful and genuinely pleasant. We can honestly say we’ve never had a poor experience at this location. The menu has something for everyone, making it an easy favorite for a casual breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

The food is a bit pricey and the quality, just is not there. I have made two trips to the restaurant and each trip the quality is not there. My breakfast food was cold and the eggs Benedict just were not that great. Also I do not like not being served to the table a bit like an upscale MacDonald's

I suppose that the yuppie crowd (Gen X, Y) adores this place as that is mostly who goes there, but they are fickle.

I’ve been wanting to try this place, we went in and it’s very nice and clean. I ordered these Big Texas Breakfast, but the food came out and it looked like the Little Texas Breakfast, very small portions. My companion ordered a steak breakfast, and when it came out it had tortilla shells and we asked if we can get toast. The waitress told us no because the food was already on the table, that we had to reorder the one slice of toast at the front. If that’s the policy for a piece of toast then I can’t support this establishment.
