We got an appetizer and 2 ravioli entrees that were absolutely delicious as well as fresh. Great date night spot.

Long overdue review. Patrick and his family have been responsible for some of the most delicious dinners I’ve experienced over the past 20 years. (Majority of the same fantastic staff are still engaged too) Starting when it was Divino further down W Alabama, I shared some lovely dinners with family and friends, as well as entertained business clients from around the world. Now enjoying the cozy hospitality of Bombetta, this is a tried and true authentic Italian restaurant. Not to be missed!!!

Bombetta is a wonderful restaurant that can always be counted on for consistent, delicious food and good service. The general clientele is a more mature age group and it is a small restaurant. It is not appropriate for your young children or grandchildren, our entire dinner was ruined by a family with a 1 year old who whined and cried during our entire dinner. The grandparents and parents were attentive but it ruined not only our dinner but everyone else's too. This is a small restaurant and is not appropriate for young ill behaved children- have some consideration for the other patrons and for the owner and workers of Bombetta whose livelihoods depend on their patrons having an exceptional experience based on their delicious food and good service. Shame on the parents and grandparents who failed to mitigate the situation for the miserable child and their lack of consideration for the other patrons who were looking forward to a wonderful dinner.

We've been here twice within the span of a month. The food is fresh and so flavorful. They have Italian dishes that aren't typically served by other restaurants.

Recommended by a colleague, I had the Wednesday special ossobuco, the mutton is soft and glutinous, but I don’t like bone marrow, so I don’t know if I can use this magical spoon.
Goulash is also very good.
The only thing is that the rice is not so in line with Chinese taste.
The music and service are very good, but it's a pity that I don't dare to drink, so I didn't try their wine.

This intimate Italian restaurant, with a handful of tables, was a pleasant surprise from the bustling Houston dining scene. As described on their website, the ambiance was warm, charming, and inviting. Our party savored the flavorful lasagna and the night's special osso buco served over risotto. For dessert, we indulged in the moist polenta cake topped with a refreshing citrus glaze. I’ll definitely be going back to try their goulash. In addition to the attentive service, the owner visiting with various patrons was a nice touch. Plenty of parking right behind their building.

The waiters here ignored me and barely spoke to the entire time I was here. I barely got my order in because I basically flagged the waiter down and finally got him to take my order. The food was okay, the lasagna was far from the superlative reviews I read about on here. I was underimpressed by the tiny parking lot, which holds only 4-5 cars. I had to park in the shopping center next door. Overall, very unimpressed. Go somewhere else.

This is our favorite hole in the wall Italian restaurant we’ve ever been to. The lasagna is out of this world. Highly recommend the Merlin’s pasta as well. We’ve never had a dish we didn’t enjoy. All the pasta is house made, the servers are warm and friendly, and the atmosphere is intimate and cozy while still being upscale.

Our server was wonderful! Attentive and made a delicious wine recommendation.

The pate was tasty and came with the perfect amount of toasts.
Warm Cesar salad- this was so delicious!! Perfect as is!!
The mushroom ravioli in truffle broth needed more salt to bring the flavors out. The bite of the pasta was spot on!
The lasagna pasta and bolognese were top notch. We wished it was served with a bit more béchamel, we couldn’t find it in the dish. Also, instead of the lasagne sitting in crushed tomatos, if it sat in bolognese and béchamel, the meal would’ve been a knockout.

Overall we would try this place again.

The food was amazing! The waiter Jeremiah really made our night. The restaurant was completely packed but he was on top of everything and made us feel like we were his only table. Overall great food and great service highly recommend!

Authentic Italian Delight

Bombetta is a charming, small Italian restaurant that feels like a cozy home away from home. The menu offers a delightful array of authentic Italian dishes, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. My favorite was their special off-menu lamb pasta, bursting with flavor. I ordered red crushed pepper on the side to add some spice. We also loved the gnocchi and caprese burrata salad as appetizers.

The ambiance is warm and inviting, with rustic decor and friendly staff who treat every guest like family. Whether you're in the mood for a casual meal or a special celebration, Bombetta delivers an exceptional dining experience that transports you straight to Italy. Highly recommended!
