The place was closed on Friday during alleged work hours, the ambiance is scary, looks as if in an area with not much safety, at least the people don't abide the traffic laws. Also right next to the railroad, with the trains there at least the half an hour I was there, not a nice place at all. Looks like a container. I wanted to try since good reviews, but will never drive there again.

This place is excellent. I love pulled pork and they have a tasty pulled pork sandwich ?. U must try the house tea! I have never had tea that good ? Oh! I almost forgot they are the nicest people...the hospitality is 5 stars... can't wait to visit again... a big thank you

Boudin chips are really good. The environment isn't like other places, they make you feel welcome. I have been here multiple times and I will come back againUpdate: so my order was a mass order of about 7 people. Unfortunately they forgot my food out of the lot. Mistakes happen , it is what you do that defines the quality of fixing it. Most restaurants would tell you to come back, give a meaningless apology and you are left feeling like someone wrong you. I came back for my food here and because of the atmosphere and customer service they made it right. Even with the mistake I give them 5 stars. They deserve it.

Found this place on Yelp and it was great surprise. I got the 3 meat special and all the meats were cooked to perfection. I got the green beans and the potatoes salad as the sides and were both flavorful also. Will definitely be back to try other foods.

Well...the establishment was clean and decor was nice. The food was average. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and fries. Sandwich was more bread than meat. Meat did have a sweet flavor which I loved. But the French fries treated weird. I may try them again if I'm in the area.

Food is amazing!!! However the speed you get drinks.. 15 minutes and counting and slow getting food out is not ok if your on lunch ... last time coming here!! Top it off they charge you $1.99 for water (not bottled water) which was supposed to be part of the combo. No ma'am rather eat at Jack in the Box than here now. Beyond livid! Check your receipts!

Me and my boys stopped in for lunch. I had the pulled pork sandwich. It was good, the bun had a nice toast to it which gave it a nice crunch when biting it. The pork was tasty. I also had a cup of gumbo. The gumbo was good, but was too salty for my taste. It was not heated all the way through, I believe it was in the refrigerator and was taken out as a portion and heated up, but not enough. One of my sons had the smoked chicken plate. It had nice smoke flavor, the meat was not dry but not as moist as I'd like or expect. The baked beans were very good with pieces of brisket mixed in. My other son had the baked potato with brisket. He said it was very good. Overall I'd say that this is a good place to eat. I will definitely come back and give something else a try.
