Met the owner one night in NYC. Typical pompous chef but he was a good dude. So I tried it out when I came back to Houston. Totally impressed!

Enjoyed a great evening at Brasserie 19. Craft Drinks, Appetizers, and dinner were exceptional. Our table service was provided by Jeffrey who is very professional and personable. The restaurant has a high energy vibe. Great choice for evening out in River Oaks.Parking: During evening, the store parking turns into valet parking. Kroger parking is walking distance to Brasserie 19.Kid-friendliness: Not recommended for small children.Wheelchair accessibility: Parking spots close to front entrance, single floor to patio and inside tables.

I took two of my friends to thank them for throwing me a baby shower. We ordered the salmon deviled eggs which were overly salty. We each ordered a cheeseburger which was super ordinary. Nothing special. You could cook it better at your house. 2 desserts to split; the brownie Nutella and the crème brûlée - both average. The bill was $167 for basically burgers and fries that were nothing to write home about. I would definitely skip it.The only thing that was good was our server.

We came here the weekend after Valentine's Day for our anniversary. We were sat at a table right next to the front door, we asked for a quieter table, they moved us to a table for 2 right by the bar inches from the next table where 6 people had squeezed into a table for 4. People began congregating around the bar and we had people bumping us throughout. We asked to move tables and were moved to a table that was already open that we could have been sat at from the beginning. My wife ordered the French onion soup and a ribeye that was good. I ordered a burger that was very undercooked. We will not be back. Usually we go to Trulucks or Mastros for our anniversary but wanted to try something different this was not a good experience.

Upon entering Brasserie 19, I was immediately struck by the inviting atmosphere, which radiated warmth and sophistication. It felt like stepping into a familiar gathering place where every guest was treated like an old friend. To start my culinary journey, I indulged in the deviled eggs, a delightful twist on a classic dish. Each bite was a harmonious blend of creamy filling and tangy mustard, topped with a sprinkle of paprika for an extra kick, and caviar.Following this tantalizing appetizer, I moved on to the onion soup, a comforting bowl of rich broth and caramelized onions that warmed both body and soul. The oysters that followed were a true delight, fresh and briny, served with a zesty mignonette that perfectly complemented their natural flavors. The steak tartare was a revelation, expertly seasoned and served with crispy toast points for a satisfying crunch. And the sole fish, delicate and flaky, melted in my mouth with each forkful, its light butter sauce adding a burst of freshness to every bite.Saving room for dessert was a wise choice, as the olive oil cake stole the show with its moist crumb and subtle notes of olive oil. Paired with a scoop of homemade ice cream, it was the perfect sweet ending to an extraordinary meal.Throughout the lunch, the Sancerre wine flowed, enhancing the flavors of each dish with its crisp acidity and fruity undertones. In conclusion, my experience at Brasserie 19 was nothing short of magical. From the welcoming atmosphere to the impeccable cuisine, it was a culinary adventure that will stay with me for years to come.

$60 steak was burnt and raw at the same time and restaurant was overly packed and very understaffed for the volume of patrons. Random tables sat directly in front of the bar for some reason result in constantly getting ran into by staff and people heading to the bathroom. Restaurant needs to dial back the seating and fix the flow of patrons. Would not recommend for a holiday.

Food was great!! Trout almondine was AMAZING! Alaskan halibut was a bit over cooked Great service! No wait time - we had reservations but it was super busy! Some restaurants still ask you to wait a few minutes not here

Greattime

We went to mark Valentines Day. Due to the brisk weather, the outdoor seating was not used much. That led to a very crowded dining room with extra tables set up to accommodate the crowds. It felt a little over filled at times. The food was excellent, and the service was great. We were not rushed and had a very enjoyable evening.
