Wonderful experience from start to finish. The service was outstanding, and Anthony’s warm hospitality really made us feel welcome. Every dish — from the starters to the main course — was prepared with great care and full of flavour. You can tell the kitchen puts real thought into every plate. Truly enjoyed our meal and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and sincere service.

WOW. This place gives off a true top-notch, old-money vibe—from the service, to the drinks, to the food. My girlfriend and I went on a Saturday, and even after making the rookie mistake of booking a reservation at the wrong location, they still took care of us and had us seated within 10 minutes. Our server, Jacob, was amazing and extremely attentive. I ordered a gentlemen’s essential that being an Old Fashioned, and my girlfriend had the Mexican Mule. We started with the shrimp cocktail, which came with five huge shrimp. For entrées, we both had the 16 oz. ribeye cooked medium—melt-in-your-mouth good. For sides, we ordered the mac and cheese and the sautéed spinach. And for dessert, we kept it classic with a New York cheesecake topped with blueberries. Overall, an incredible experience start to finish.

The food was fair at best, the lamb pops were amazing but that's the only thing. Wedge salad dressing had very little flavor. Green beans were not seasoned AT ALL!! We had the duck special for 65$ with 2 small-very small. pieces, over this very sweet puree and the skin was so limp! Guess they missed cooking shows where they all yell about crispy skin!! We had apple crisp and it was OK. Nothing to write home about. We had a 200$ gift card and it covered most but not all of the bill. Expected expensive but we expected excellent. We got expensive, but sadly, terrible food.

The service was wonderful, the surroundings were breathtaking, and the food was excellent. I highly recommend this establishment.

Celebrated my boyfriend birthday. The table given to us was at a weird spot middle of stairway so it felt very awkward & we were hearing echos of the whole restaurant. Food was great. Service was okayish. We were charged for the birthday desert though in my experience we shouldn't have been for celebratory dessert. Food was amazing specially their lobster mc and cheese.

My wife and I both enjoyed our meals immensely. The oysters were delicious, the shrimp cocktail was massive, and most importantly the steaks were cooked perfectly. She had the truffle butter topping, while I had mine with the Oscar. Each complimented the steak wonderfully. For dessert we split the key lime tart, which was a wonderful cap to our evening If I'm being picky, the only negative I can point to was the bar service. The bar "ran out" of the premium old fashioned and drink orders, in general, took much longer than normal to make it to the table. Needless to say, this probably ended up saving us a few dollars, as we drank a little more water than usual while waiting for the cocktails.

Outstanding food with great service. Kitchen addressed onion allergy, but kept dishes flavorful

I really do like this restaurant, a lot... Judging for my numbers, it may sound different... But that's not the case... I was there on a Wednesday evening and it was packed... Definitely good for the restaurant... But the crowd was so loud and the music was so loud we couldn't even carry on a simple conversation at our small table for three people... It was so busy and our server, wow, very nice felt really stretched... I will go back. I'm sure and I overall think it's such a cool place... So this is not like trying to sound tough guy, me... I'm just being realistic about my experience on this one particular evening. They really are only so many times at dinner that I can hear “fly me to the moon!“ blaring over the speakers overhead.

Overpriced filet mignon that was not tender/was dry despite ordering medium. Had to pay for valet even though their lot was empty when I arrived for dinner. Credit card charge for valet plus tips ended up over $12 just for them to take over my car and park it steps away. Lobster bisque hardly had any lobster meat in it, was too creamy and didn't taste much anything else.

Brenner’s on the Bayou delivered an incredible dining experience from start to finish. The 31-ounce RC Ranch Wagyu ribeye was truly exceptional — perfectly cooked, richly marbled, and bursting with flavor. It’s the best steaks I’ve ever had. Our server, Jacob, provided outstanding service throughout the evening. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure every detail was taken care of without being intrusive. Jacob's knowledge, skill, and ability to tell us the details of the RC Ranch Wagyu Ribeye was very impressive. Based on his description, we were confident making our selection, and was not disappointed. The atmosphere was warm and elegant, with beautiful views of the bayou adding to the experience. If you’re looking for a first-class steakhouse in Houston, Brenner’s on the Bayou is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

Our waiter, Jacob, made the night unforgettable. He was not only extremely efficient and knowledgeable about every item on the menu, but also incredibly hospitable and attentive throughout our entire meal. You can tell he truly takes pride in his work answering every question with confidence and offering great recommendations. On top of that, he was genuinely funny and personable, which made the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was beautiful, the food was cooked to perfection, and Jacob’s service tied it all together. Highly recommend Brenner’s on the Bayou for anyone looking for a top-tier steakhouse experience in Houston!

Was a great night at BOTB. This was our first time to dine upstairs. I much prefer downstairs where there is a view of the bayou. Food was great the new Raspberry, Grey Goose cocktail was delicious. Service was good too. We will be back... again!

I forgot how wonderful this restaurant is. Our waiter was excellent and the food was beyond delicious. Already planning to go back in December for another celebration.

Brenner’s on the Bayou is a classic, old-school steakhouse with a timeless feel. Overall, I enjoyed the experience, though I wish I had been seated in the more lively area by the river and back bar instead of the side porch. After walking through the restaurant and seeing that beautiful riverside setting, I definitely know where I’ll request to sit next time! The food was very good and presented in that traditional steakhouse style — the shrimp cocktail even came out on dry ice, which was a fun touch. My steak was cooked to perfection, though my coworker’s had to be sent back as it was slightly overcooked. Everything is served à la carte, so it can get a bit pricey, but the quality is there. The only area that fell a bit short for me was the wine list, which I found somewhat limited. Still, Brenner’s delivered a great meal, professional service, and a wonderful atmosphere. I’d definitely return — and next time, I’ll make sure to enjoy a seat by the river bar!

Such an amazing night! We arrived early to have a drink at the blue bar on the deck, and Morgan made us feel so welcome! She even checked in for our reservation and led us to our table so we didn’t have to rush. Then Ruth took over as our server and was so knowledgeable and friendly. The food was the best meal I’ve ever had! The steaks were perfectly cooked and not over seasoned as is the case for so many places. From the arrival to leaving the restaurant we felt as though we were top tier celebrities that were so pampered and doted on. Thank you for making our first wedding anniversary so special and amazing! Morgan, Ruth and the whole team are rockstars!
