This was not as good as my past experience at Brio, which is one of my favorite restaurants. Reservation of 4 for Easter dinner. Restaurant was somewhat empty, which was OK for us. Was looking forward to the Brio Old Fashioned coctail based on our last visit. Got the recipe last visit. Make them at home all the time. Ordered two for me & wife. Told waitress to make them good. One glass had a lesser volume than the other, and the drinks did not taste good. Ordered appetizers for the table. About half way through, the waitress is bringing the salads. About half way through the salads, the waitress is bringing the entree's. Crap, we have a table full of food. I had the Beef Medallions. Had them before here. These not as good. Comes with a side of asparagas, which was stringy, soft and tasted horrible. I told the waitress. No help. Spent $275 total on this meal. I was very disappointed. I rate them 3 stars because I know they can do better. This meal was a 2.
Took a long time for someone to come to front desk and seat us. A long time for waiter to come.
The food could been a little hotter, given we were the only ones in the restaurant. Our server did not bring water to the table and we had to ask for it. The coffee was just lukewarm, not hot.
Food was ok- not outstanding. Services was slow & server not very attentive. The place was not full, so she certainly chance done a better job.
We met a friend for supper. Jennifer, our server was attentive and helpful with suggestions. We had a margarita flatbread for our appetizer. The Entree's selected were salmon salad, shrimp risotto and pasta Brio. The salmon salad had spring mix, asparagus, and thin fried potatoes on top of the salmon. The shrimp risotto was well seasoned and the risotto was creamy and delicious. The pasta Brio had chicken and penne pasta with a roasted red pepper cream sauce, excellent flavor. Great food and a fun time catching up with a dear friend.
Nut allergy friendly: Not many dishes on their menu have nuts, if any at all.
Parking is quite easy as there is a garage right next door (692 W Sam Houston Pwky N).
We made a reservation for a Saturday afternoon at noon. No need really, as the restaurant was mostly empty when we arrived. There is a lot of capacity inside and outside with tables for large groups as well (we saw a group of 12 enter as we were leaving).
Time-to-Appetizers: 12 Minutes

Service was good - very attentive and brought us everything we asked for (warm water, olive oil to dip bread, etc.) The bread was a wheatier type of bread that was very doughy.
For three people, we shared:
Bowl of Lobster Bisque (2/5): Unfortunately, no pieces of actual lobster. As my mom put it, "tomato soup with a hint of lobster" is an accurate way to describe this. Added some much needed pepper to offset the creaminess.
Calamari (2/5): The calamari was a little tough, and the breading not as crispy as it looked. Alone, the calamari was relatively flavorless. The sauces paired well and added some much needed flavor, along with some lemon. Unfortunately, they were served on the plate in large spoons which means some pieces of calamari were drenched in sauce.
Pollo al Forno Flatbread (4/5): A really loaded flatbread that is very sharable! I thought the chicken was a little dry but they nailed everything else.
Risotto with Shrimp Premium Side (4/5): Good texture, good flavor. Portions and price could be a meal on its own so I'm surprised it's listed as a side.
Overall, it was quite pricey with a very nice ambiance with some specific dishes that I'd order again if I had to go back with a group. I would not go back on my own.
No problems paying via inKind app. The check number is the five digit number.

The food is good, but I can get the same quality Italian fare at several places for 2/3 the price. Location is likely the reason.

This place was not busy at all. The food was very delicious! The service was very good. Place was beautiful on the inside. My only thing is my adult beverage I ordered hardly had any liquor in it, not a deal breaker I just eont order drinks next time. I will definitely go back.

Had a great experience with a large party. Can’t recommend Pam more. She was patient, efficient, and handled a party of 17 like a professional. Atmosphere and food were also good.

The Calamari and service at the bar is top notch! Ask for Miguel, he makes the BEST old fashioned. You won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic meal and service. Even though the restaurant was very warm and humid, we enjoyed it.
About 5 occupied tables in entire restaurant and still no host to greet us; however, bartender did say someone will be right there after noticing us.
After being sat I went to the restroom asking my wife to order me a water. Got back and she said no one had been around. So no water yet.
Waitress was nice but not memorable and not super attentive for having just 2 tables.
Don't order the truffle garlic bread ricotta. Not good ricotta and the little breads are too skinny. It should be a fatter piece for spreads.
The bolognese lacked richness. Very underwhelming.
$4.00 for tea? Why...
Slow night for the restaurant. No manager checking in on tables.
