Food was good but only with sauce. Not a lot for the cost.
Hey, listen, I just tasted this restaurant for the first time, good food overall. The brisket was smoky, tender and awesome. Chicken was good, sausage was good, but a bit on the dry side. Potato casserole needed more butter and cream. Great fried okra, potato salad was also good. So all in all, I would suggest the brisket, beans, okra and chicken. Good restaurant.
Food was actually good but make sure u have ALL INGREDIENTS that go with your food cuz I didn’t have my green onions nor bacon bits
Got home with our order from the highway six store without some items. Called and they offered to let us drive back up and pick up the missing items. When i told them that was not an option I was told "well, you did get most of your food".
We went to have BBQ Brisket of which they had none. As mater of fact the only think that they had was chopped meat, and it wasn't very good. Won't go back
Value menu is well worth it. Burritos are great. So is banana pudding
Some of the best Bar-B-Q I’ve had. Located in Montrose neighborhood of Houston. The Restaurant itself is located in the historic Montrose House. You definitely get that home cooked feeling. We had the brisket, pulled pork, ribs and jalapeño sausage. Such a wonderful meal and comfortable home setting.
Every time I go to this location the food is always fresh and delicious :) the staff here are also very friendly and always treat me kindly and respectfully. Thank you so much!
There is nothing cobbler about their "peach cobbler" so don't order it if you like authentic southern desserts. So disappointed.
Craving bbq but didn't want to go to our usual place. The brisket and sausage was really good. The brisket was moist. Very well served, we even had leftovers. When we arrived the staff was very nice. Several seast in the downstairs area but we went upstairs which was nice. Each room had a big table and seemed more private. We liked the idea of small party in the upstairs area. Their catering service seemed pleasantly priced. It's a great location and have plenty of parking.

FALSE ADVERTISING WARNING!!! the food it self isn’t that bad. I came in trough the drive tru. They have the pull pork sandwich advertised at 6.99 so I ordered. The guy said 9.69 I thought I heard wrong. So when I got to the window he confirm it. I ask the guy and said we not longer have that. I told him that’s not the price advertised and he said I don’t know. I tell the manager. And he is right, not the staff fault. I believe they just trying to get more business by tricking people. Which is not nice and ilegal. So, be careful of the deals advertised by this place
completely disgusted.. the “pulled pork” they give out is chicken cut up and the bread is hard as a rock.
Great tasting brisket and bbq sauce. Forgot to give one side. Did not have turkey 30 mins from opening time.
This place used to be great before the pandemic. Now it's very low quality. Asked for lean brisket got brisket that was 80% fat, side item portions are small, pulled pork was 50% fat, ice cream machine has been "broken" for a year, they used to toast your bread with butter now they pull it out of the bag and toss it on the platter. There are too many good BBQ places in Houston to bother with this one.
