italian food and the feeling at this spot is great. I like it here, great food & service. The service here is better than most. The bill was reasonable.

Came here while on a short trip to the hospitals. It is within walking distance of Hermann Memorial (coming from a then pregnant woman) and the food was good for Italian in Texas. $70 for two adults, app, entrees, and desserts, no wine.

I've passed by this location a few times and always wondered what was in here. As one of the other reviewers said, the outside of the house is borderline delapidated with a quaint look, which can also be part of its appeal. Upon entering, you immediately realize that it's a cozy, family-owned restaurant. I was not greeted, thus I simply stood around, confused as to the next steps to getting seated. However, upon voicing my confusion a lady stood up and directed us to a table and indicated that our waiter, Pablo, would be by momentarily. She told us that there was a full bar, but unfortunately there is not. They had a wide array of wines and select top shelf liquor, that were watered down.

If I could leave a NEGATIVE review I would. THE WAITER WHOS BEEN HERE LONG TIME DISRESPECTED MY GF AND I SO BAD. WALKING OUT THE RESTAURANT TO CHASE ME TO COMPLAIN ABOUT HIS TIP. WHEN I TOLD HIM THE SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE. ONE MY TICKET WAS INCORRECT AND WOULD NOT EXPLAIN. WHEN I COME ONCE A MONTH TO EAT HERE. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENS HERE AND BEING THE FIRST TIME AND HIM DOING SO WAS BEYOND DISRESPECTFUL. HE HAS THE BALLS TO WALK OUT THE RESTAURANT AND CONFRONT ME FOR WHAT TO FIGHT? He should be glad I did not smack him for words he said. DISRESPECTED COMPLETELY.

Food was excellent. Service was very good. Servers could have been quicker to refill beverages. My single complaint is this: our dinner was the celebration of the birthdays of two of our dining companions. I informed Buon Appetito staff of this, first when I made the reservation, and again when we arrived at the restaurant. No acknowledgement of the birthdays was made. We didn't expect something free, or the servers to sing Happy Birthday. Nevertheless, it would have been thoughtful for the staff to extend their good wishes.

The restaurant is in an old house which could be charming, but the temperature inside the restaurant was 80 degrees or more. The service was slow due to lack of staff. The bottle of red wine we ordered was also warm, as well as the salad. I ordered veal saltimbocca which I've have many times from other restaurants and it was mediocre at best. They used regular deli ham instead of prosciutto and the veal was so thin it was almost nonexistent. Will not return.
