Amazing, fresh baked breads and pastries, wonderful hand made tortillas and tacos and the torta was on fantastically soft and tasty bread. Great service in both Spanish and English and enjoyable relaxed atmosphere.
While I have never actually eaten at the Cafe I have stopped here for years when I travel to Houston to buy Pan de Dulce (sweet bread). They have their own bakery and while they don't have the selection of El Bolillo the quality is comparable and the price is better.
I have been coming to this spot for years & never disappointed! Great place to try for authentic food at a reasonable price. Always hot & fresh. So many delicious dishes but my latest dish was the Desayuno Typico. (See pic)
The selection of bread is baked daily & highly recommend the ones with cheese/cream.
Food does take time to prep so if you're in a hurry, I suggest calling in your order for pick up about 20 minutes before.
