Called about live crabs. They said they have it. Asked about size and was told #1 mixed with other sizes. Bought 10lbs of live crabs. Gentleman that sold me the crabs came out with crabs in a bucket. Sizes were accurate to what was communicated over the phone. Gentleman said they were alive but not moving because they had been in the cooler and not that active. Took his word for it. Came home and began the rinsing process before boiling the crab. All but 4 crabs were dead. I was expecting them to come alive after rising them with water but majority were goners.
I messaged on FB as soon as I found out. Owner reach out later on stating that the staff made sure every single one were alive when picked. That’s a fat lie because when I was checking them, many were not moving and the worker said they are not moving because they were in the cooler. So if they were not moving then how does he know it’s a live. It could be not moving because they were dead. Needless to say nothing was done by the owner. I’m Vietnamese and buy blue crabs often. Owner claims that I may have caused them to die but I went directly home to wash them. A 30 min ride is not going to kill crabs and cause them to smell so horrible. I want to eat live crabs. Why would I make this up for? You guys got to do a better job at this Cajun Craven. When a customer feels cheated and taken advantage of, it’s not a good look for you.
First time giving this place a try for live crabs since it’s closer but was disappointed. Threw the dead ones away that smelled like they had died for quite some time in fear of getting food poisoning. Only the 4 live ones were cooked.

Update 11 years later: Spicy crawfish was inedibly spicy. This coming from someone who always orders top spice level on everything at all restaurants without issue. TVs were off except one at bar. Waiter/receptionist was seated by door instead of behind bar and therefore not actively serving me the only customer there. Will give it two stars instead of one based on the good memories from before.

Horrible service! I had to get up twice to put in my order and ask for a refill of sweet tea for my whole family and they came back with unsweet tea and didn't add ice! The server didn't even know what a Coors light was and came back and said we don't have cool light. We asked for another beer and they didn't have that too! So we said just bring any beer at this point! They have no hand wipes so don't touch your eyes when you are done eating! The shrimp did not peel off of the shell at all! The calamari was like if you were to eat rubber bands. The main thing is the service was so horrible! We expected more out of this place.

The food is AMAZING and reasonably priced- only one gripe that I’ll get to later. Their signature sauce on the crawfish is like nothing I’ve ever had, and I come from a south Louisiana family. Their sauce isn’t Cajun, but it slaps just as hard. I asked for butter before tasting it, but didn’t even need it. We’ve also had the fries and fried seafood. It was fresh, fried in good grease, and had decent flavor. The fried seafood needed a little hot sauce, but the fries were really good all by themselves. The frozen ‘drinky-drinks’ were also slapping! The tall man pretty much taking care of the entire dining room is TOP NOTCH! He provides great service- unbelievable memory and accuracy, no weird small talk, and a pleasant attitude. I hope he’s paid well.
C’mon now. Please update and upkeep the dining area better. Throw some paint on the walls. I don’t care about eating on plastic, but the ambiance does kill the mood a bit. It’s giving creepy basement. Add some better lighting and allow more natural light in. They could remedy this with a couple thousand bucks over a weekend!

We go almost once a week something we look forward to every weekend. That should say something right.! crabs and crawfish are amazing. We get the craven style spicy. Love it. Service still needs to pay attention to the customers. They need to get employees who want to work.

Placed an order for a field run $2/lb the day before with a specified time. Upon arrival, they had not reserved a bag for me. Instead, a jumbo bag was pulled out and was told to pay for the jumbo pricing $3/lb when that was not what I had placed the deposit for. Also received 30 instead of the 35 lb that was initially told to me. Better off ordering crawfish from your local Asian seafood market. Not worth

I really love this place the food is spicy but in a good way and the beer is always cold
Seafood is always tasty, service is pretty great, and staff are on point. Love the rustic decoration, it’s pretty clean for a place where people tear heads off of crustaceans.

Service sucks! And good Luck trying to order thru the phone they answer the phone and just leave u on the line so they don’t have to take to go orders! Bunch of lazy kids that don’t want to work.. Was my go to place cuz crawfish are good but service is ridiculous!!
