CakesByGina: 8/10 Cake was delicious and they will bake us a fresh one at our one year anniversary, which is very exciting!! We won't have to eat frozen, 1 year old cake lol! The only downside was our cake tasting trial was scheduled and we had an appointment, but a walk in took precedent over us and I think the person assigned to us had just quit, so they were kind of scrambling to get us in and seen before they closed, so I felt like an afterthought or an inconvenience. but overall, the cake was delicious so can't really complain!
Cakes by Gina is an excellent choice for your wedding day cake. Great taste, elegant touches and highly professional. The complementary tasting offered more flavors than we could imagine. All of the flavors we tasted were delicious. After much deliberation we decided on a 5 layer cake with layers of red velvet and vanilla paired with cheese cream fillings and butter cream icing. Would recommend cakes by Gina to anyone that asks. Very skilled in helping come up with creative and elegant concepts.

We had a vision of incorporating powerful symbols like a dragon, phoenix, and lotus flowers to honor both of our cultures and Cakes By Gina absolutely nailed it. The level of detail and creativity that went into the cake design was beyond anything we could have imagined. The vibrant colors, delicate piping, and intricate details on each of these symbols were so beautifully executed that guests couldn’t stop admiring it before they took their first bite!
The cake wasn’t just a visual masterpiece—it was also a dessert to die for. The flavor was incredible, and we’ve never tasted anything like it. From the first bite, we were hooked! Each layer was perfectly balanced, and the combination of flavors was so delicious that we honestly wish we could eat this cake every day (if only we could!). The texture was light yet rich, and the frosting was perfectly smooth without being overly sweet. Our guests couldn’t get enough of it, and many of them asked for seconds, claiming it was one of the best cakes they had ever tasted.

The customer service was HORRIBLE!!! It started off great with my order. I forgot to pick up the cake which was all my fault. However, no call or text reminder was sent. When I called the next morning, the manager Juan said “Oh well. We don’t call people. They just come the next day.” I told him the concern with that is I needed it for the day I was picking it up. Again, my fault I forgot, but the response was terrible! He just ended with, “Your cake is ready though.” Get the cake Ubered and it does not look like what was discussed. No mockup or picture was sent when the cake was done. I sent an inspiration picture and spoke with Angel Chang directly of the vision. I will never order from them again! The service was trash!!!

We are beyond thrilled with our wedding cake, and we cannot recommend this vendor enough! The cake was not only beautiful but absolutely delicious. We chose a three-tiered cake with three amazing flavors: Tres Leches, Lemon, and Classic Wedding Cake, and each one was a hit with our guests. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the textures were just right – moist, flavorful, and utterly indulgent.
One of the highlights of working with this vendor was the cake tasting experience. We visited their bakery, and from the moment we walked in, we were treated with the utmost care and professionalism. The staff made us feel welcome, guiding us through the different flavor options and offering suggestions that helped us finalize our choices. It was clear they took pride in their work, and they genuinely wanted us to have the best experience possible.
Walking around the bakery was also a lot of fun! We were able to see countless examples of stunning cakes they had created for other couples, which helped us get a sense of the different styles and design ideas. My husband and I had a pleasant expectations with Cakes by Gina. Our venue, Bell Tower on 34th referred Cakes by Gina for our wedding cake needa. Scheduling a cake tasting was a effortless process and no fee was required which was great. They provided adequate samples of cake which were delicious making it difficult to make a decision. The Carrot Cake was phenomenal! I had dreams about it after the tasting lol We selected our flavors, Tier 1-Carrot Cake & Tier 2- Amaretto and discussed design details which was seamless. Our rep gave us a tour of completed cake designs which was mind blowing, the level of creativity is amazing.
Cakes by Gina delivered our wedding cake on time the day however a language barrier cause some challenge with communication.
My husband and i couldn't wait for a slice of cake. The Carrot cake was so moisted! Our guest could not stop raving about how good the cake was. I definitely recommend Cakea By Gina for your event needs.

These truly are beautiful works of art in dessert form! Not only did we enjoy our cake last year at our reception, and got so many compliments on the presentation, we also we’re welcomed back by their amazing staff when hurricane beryl spoiled our lovely cake topper in our freezer. One of the amazing staff members at the shop named Joan quickly came to our rescue and was so sweet to provide another topper for my husband and I to enjoy our one year anniversary. I know there are a lot of choices for wedding cakes and cakes for parties in town, but Cakes by Gina will always be my go to.
Our experience Cakes by Gina was perfect. I took my fiancé and my parents with me and we spent so much time walking around their storefront looking at cake decoration samples. The samples for tasting were a really good size, we even had leftovers to take home.
We picked four flavors and I’m so glad I asked our planner to save two slices of each flavor for us because our guests FINISHED all four layers!
They included an extra tier for us to take home on our first anniversary, but unfortunantly it did not survive a week with no power from Hurricane Beryl. I’m hoping that we can order a cake from them in April for our anniversary.

The masterpiece on how they delivered it and how it was drawn was out of this world. Also, I highly recommend talking to Ms. Angel and she delivers excellent service!
