This has been my go to Vietnamese sandwich place for like 10+ years. The people are nice and super efficient. My favorite sandwich is the steamed pork/xa xiu. Think of it like thinly sliced pork belly with added Asian flavors. The bread is a buttery and crisp French baguette. This is filled with pickled veggies. Their other food offerings taste homemade. No frills. Just tasty! Enjoy!

Have been coming here for over 15 years. The food is still great and the quality is consistent. Tons of veggie options. The only downside is the smell inside the restaurant - old bleach rag type of smell. I end up picking up food instead of dining in because of this.

Whenever I am near by, I will stop by to buy at least 20, sometime I will buy 30 of the grilled pork banh mi.I stocked them in the freezer. Just need to take them out and put in the microwave for 1 minute, and bake for about 3-4 minutes. If you do so, remember to ask them to put the veggies separately. Cilantro and cucumber will go bad, so you cannot freeze them for sure; but, you can always get those from the store.I haven't tried the combination or shredded chicken banh mi yet.

Best bets are the sandwiches and egg rolls. The egg rolls are definitely homemade. The pho didn’t taste homemade and noodles mushy. Coffee was $5 for instant powdered coffee. I know it because I’ve had it. Prices are a bit high.

I have been a customer for years and haven’t been in a while due to some construction that is finally finished and I honestly was so happy to be back! The family oriented restaurant is a 5 star in my book! Everything is always soo fresh and delicious! Best Pho in town!!

OK. certainly not the best. Pho Broth was pretty bland. Even after I added a crazy amount of sriracha and hoisin, it was still bland. Banh Mi was good, but nothing out of this world. Also there was like a weird smell like that of an old egg in the dining area.

I have been eating lunch/early dinner at Cali since they were a small restaurant with 5 tables, and their banh mi sandwiches were $1.50.Sandwiches are not that cheap anymore - they're about $5 now- but it's still a great place for tasty, satisfying inexpensive Vietnamese food. The restaurant is a little bigger than its old spot across the street, but it's a super casual place to sit down or get takeout. They're even experimenting with wait service. I preferred to order and pay at the front counter. There is not much I would veto on the menu. In fact, if the owner is there, she may very well tell you NOT to order a dish she thinks is not one of her best. That's honestly for you. Please note: this restaurant does not serve alcohol.Parking: Small parking area. 10 spots (maybe) in front shared with 2 other businesses, but there might be spaces on the street or in the lot across the street.I've gotten pretty lucky going during off hours.

I love this place. Cali’s has been my go to spot for at least 12 yrs. If you’re looking for a fancy overpriced spot with Americanized food this is not the spot for you.

I'll never go to Subway again!Tried the Cali sub and cheese puffs.... magnificent! The sandwich came on a fresh baguette with a medley of veggies and sauce that blended together in the perfect ratio of soft, crunchy, tangy, and savory meats. Be sure to try the crepes-available Tuesday and Saturday only-you may be shocked, but not disappointed. On my way back right now! ? Angry at self I wasn't aware of this gem before now!Vegetarian options: Sooo you can get any meal minus the meat. They have vegan options as well though

Delicious food and great people. I would recommend this becomes a regular Vietnamese spot for anyone living in midtown. In plus I appreciate the pricing, high quality food for people on a budget.
