Went to Caliente on a recommendation, so glad we tried it. Chips were fresh, salsa was delicious and the queso with taco meat was also so good. We had combo fajitas and the beef and chicken were delicious. The corn tortillas were homemade and amazing. If we're in the area again, we will definitely go back.

This used to be one of my favorite places to eat, but unfortunately, the food quality has declined. Regrettably, I won't be returning.

This place is a hidden gem! It is beautiful and clean, and every dish I’ve had has been delicious, made with great quality ingredients. Last night I indulged in the delicious white queso and then had the chicken salad with the mango vinagrette. OMG! It was so refreshing, unique and delicious. Of course, the tacos and enchiladas are delicious as well. Can’t wait to continue trying more of their quality and tasty dishes!

Hidden gem! Excellent and consistent food, great service and welcoming atmosphere. My favorite is the chicken enchiladas. Chicken wrapped in flour tortillas and smothered with sauce. My fave is the avocado cream sauce - flavorful and not too heavy. Cilantro lime rice is amazing, too! They also do breakfast so great place for brunch any day.

We tried this restaurant out on a Saturday and there were only two other parties dining in the establishment which is kind suspicious for me especially on a Saturday in Houston.
Starting out with the chips and salsa. I am huge Mexican/Tex-Mex Restaurant lover and big requirement for me when it comes to chips and salsa is to have a green sauce and they didn't have one. However, their red salsa was decent. My mom ordered a queso since there was no green sauce and the queso came out cold. We asked the waitress if she could warm up it but she said she couldn't.
For my meal, I had the Puebla which is a fajita dinner that comes with their Caribbean shrimp and beef and chicken fajitas. The Caribbean shrimp were just ok. They are served with pineapples but that flavor was too overpowering to me. The beef fajitas were not good at all! They tasted very gamey...if that makes sense. There was no real flavor to them just tasted meat. However the stars of the plate were the chicken fajitas, refried beans, and THE CILANTRO RICE! The cilantro rice is to die for. I would just go back for the beans and that rice!

The waitress was very nice and attentive which was easy to do because it was not busy at all.

The restaurant is very clean. You can see them make some of your dishes right there in front. A party came in with their dog and was allowed to sit at the bar which I don't think is very sanitary especially since it was not a service dog. If you are going to allow dogs and you have an outside seating area then that is where they should be required to eat..just my opinion.

Went for lunch. Place was empty except a table of 2 and myself. I was there from 11:45 to 12:28, so not long. Server didn't know english, never checked on me, and was slow to get to only two tables. Quesadilla was great, but chips had too much oil. Beef was bland but tender. Rice tasted like a Mediterranean style. Food was in warmers/buffet style, which is odd for the area. I spent 17 and change for a taco cabana type meal. Wasn't sure if your suppose to get your own water, but I had too. I hate to say it, but for the area cyclone, escalantes, papassitos put this place to shame all around. Spend an extra 5 to 10 for top quality food.

Customer service was the worst. When are food was ready it was just sitting under the light and was brung to us 15 minutes late. When we were served they brung our food out wrong and we had to wait for our sauce. Would not recommend

Complete disappointment. Ordered 75 breakfast tacos for a company meeting and they forgot to make the order and would not accommodate to make the order happen. Unbelievable. Poor ownership. Lost a customer that came frequently with my family.

We had the BEST experience with a private event for a milestone birthday! The owner Justin was extremely accommodating with the set up and details that went into planning the party, even taking pictures for us throughout the evening. The waitstaff provided exceptional service and the food was incredibly delicious! Our guests never had an empty glass throughout the night. We were also able to play our choice of music and a video throughout the night. If you're looking for the perfect venue for a private event, I wholeheartedly recommend Caliente!

We basically were the only ones in the restaurant. Outside one couple sat. That didn't take away from the amazing service by Ruben. The food was fantastic! I will be back for sure. It was my first visit ??I ordered a spicy crawfish & a shrimp enchilada plate, portion size was plenty. Frozen Marg was the best as well. We had queso & chips on the table. Their chips are sooo good!
