Normally amazing experience and excellent Americanos, however, today Veteran’s Day not the case. I picked up a counter advert for a delish Latte to inquire more about it after I had already ordered my Americano. I was scolded by the barista to “put it down!” and immediately demanded for my hands to put on sanitizer. Seriously?1) I am not unhygienic and it’s overly clear by my very appearance I take care of myself.2) If hygiene is in question. Then I suggest the unkept hippy barista with long hair WITHOUT a hairnet or gloves take into account how he should manage and present himself as whilst working with clients and representing Canary Cafe.3) I would suggest better training on how to deal and manage customers or consider another line of work because it’s clear the service industry may nit be the right fit.

I absolutely adore this cafe. The baristas are so passionate about their profession, friendly and down to earth. Every latte I have received has been amazing. So put down your venti mediocre coffee from ‘that one place,’ and go support this cute local cafe!

Man what an awesome surprise this place was. So great! The atmosphere and set up are soooo nice. Great indoor AND outdoor space. The Calvacade Cubano Sandwich was bomb.com. totally hit the spot. i drank a matcha latte that was also very good.I'm gonna keep supporting this joint. Every business along the metrorail has a hard enough time surviving (but now add a pandemic! ?). So we gotta eat and drink here! Happy i came across Canary Cafe! Can't wait to see what's to come in regards to events and other stuff. Also gonna be trying the pizza next time and bringing my bois!!!!!

I went twice. Both times dissapointed. The 1st time bc they have EXTREMELY little to offer for breakfast/brunchon weekends. The 2nd time bc one employee (owner?) rudely kicked us out at exactly 5pm. Um, two 30-something females that live close enough to walk their dogs to your place and have money enough to each buy a coffee and a dessert but didn't know you were closing since your establishment is brand new... but you couldn't let us hang around 5 or 10min to eat the muffins and you couldn't NICELY tell us your hours?? Guess we WON'T become devoted local patrons.... Two stars because the barista with short hair was so nice and made a great Mexican hot chocolate.

Went a couple of weeks ago for quick bite - a bit disappointed in the pesto chicken wrap purchased . Jicama was good.We also ordered tomato soup - which had a bit of spicy kick to it. I didn’t try any of the sweets, but maybe in the future. Service/ Staff was okay. I was excited to check out new place In the neighborhood but it fell a bit short.

Fantastic coffee place serving locally roasted beans. They also offer pastries and a good selection of breakfast and lunch options. You can also buy some household morning brew essentials. Good outdoor space at the back.
