We had a party of 13-14 people. Everything was ok until it was time for the bill. I understand it may be somewhat difficult to split the bill up but they allowed us to split it in 5's (five people per bill). The poor waitress was unable to do that. We ended up paying for meals that was never ordered and of course some meals being added to the wrong bill. My gracious son in law decided to just eat it after they got it wrong 3 times. I tell you this so you will be aware that it may not come out right if you desire to split the bill.

This was a wonderful place to eat! We were visiting from NC and looking for a Tex mex restaurant, we are so glad we found this! Very clean, wonderful service too! Food was fabulous!! The atmosphere was awesome! 5 stars from me!!

Food and atmosphere are nice but the staff and service are awful. Reservations are only for 8 or more, otherwise the advice is to get there early. Zero exceptions, even after speaking to a manager. If you need to call, expect to try 5+ times and be transferred no less than 3x’s. My recommendation is Pappasito’s a few street over

Freezing cold inside when it’s cold outside literally no servers anywhere no manager smoky worst chips ever order drinks waited for 15 minutes. The waiter forgot they sat there getting water down. The manager just seemed to have no idea what was going on and we just told him this is a terrible place. We are leaving and getting out of here immediately. Do NOT waste your time!
Went to Candente with some friends. I like that it's kind of hidden in a neighborhood. The atmosphere was nice. They have an outdoor covered patio area. I had a blueberry margarita, it was ok. The salsa was good. My favorite was the green salsa. They had plenty of menu items some of which are made for you to share. I forgot which number we ordered but there was bacon wrapped shrimp, grilled shrimp, sausage, chicken and a couple of other meats. They only give you three plates of condiments so I had to order the fourth one. There was plenty of food for us to share and take a little bit home. I appreciated that the waiter was able to split the check between the four of us. I’d like to go back and try the smoked brisket enchiladas.

What’s up Candente? We ordered chips and queso and margs to enjoy at home. Chips are completely stale and old. The salsa is only one quarter filled.

Absolutely our favorite restaurant in Houston. The birria tacos are insane! Margs are perfect and the complementary salsa and lime dips are amazing! One of the only restaurants we keep coming back for!
