Carrabba's - The Original On Voss

Seemed like the waitress didn't like me. Out of six people at our table she forgot my drink and my salad. I eventually got them, but I had to ask.

We chose this location because it’s known to be more upscale and expensive than others, and we even traveled over an hour to get there. Unfortunately, the experience was a huge disappointment. Portions were small, and prices were nearly double what we’re used to—which we were prepared for—but the food itself was overly salty, and the service left much to be desired.
While the manager was friendly and even stepped in to bring items when our waiter was nowhere to be found, our main server spoke to us condescendingly and checked on us only rarely. Overall, it was not the experience we had hoped for after the time, effort, and money we invested.

Restaurant week (RW) at Carrabba’s is 100% not worth it. Don’t order off the menu RW menu. Portions are 1/3 the size. And 1/2 the quality. I want to support the food bank a lot but going to carrabbas is not how to do it. This meal is a joke.

Food is good.. service was excellent.. but the menu in general is way over priced

This place is excellent! You just can't beat the original Carrabba's. I ordered the chicken parmesan. I subbed the side for penne with marina. This is a seriously amazing dish. I also tried a bite of the veal marsala which I will definitely be ordering next time. I've been here many times and always leave impressed. I will definitely be back many more times as well.

The food was very sub par. Crab cakes were burnt, dry, and had very little meat in it, just pepper, onion and breading.
Lentil and Sausage soup... idk how it's possible for sausage to be that dry IN A SOUP. It had the texture of Styrofoam.
Pasta was all overcooked and mushy. The shrimp was alright.
The Alfredo was disgusting.
And the icing on the cake, we had the sleepiest, lamest server I have ever met. He said maybe 8 words to us the entire dinner, never asked how anything was. No manager came to check on us, and at the end we sat leaned back with our plates pushed away for 15 minutes before another random server came to wrap us up and bring the check. Then our sleepy server wobbled his way over like he was out of breath from getting out of his seat in the back.
This was a disgraceful dining experience, and I'm not even a picky dude. I worked in food and hospitality for over a decade, and there's none of that at Carrabas on Voss. I have had much better meals at franchise Carrabas, by far!

Best place in Houston for a meal that feels like home. All the servers are great, but Louis who has always taken care of us is truly outstanding. Pastas are made fresh daily and always in point. Ms Rose, is always a reason for people to come in everyday. Ms Rose who is the owner always makes it a point to greet all her customers and makes you feel like family. The remodel which was completed a few years past, gives it an even more Italian country home feel. Always take people from out of town here, and they are never disappointed
