We went to Cassy's for the first time yesterday. I say the first time because we will definitely be going back. The food was quickly presented and it was absolutely delicious. My husband enjoyed the oxtail platter and I enjoyed the smothered turkey wings. The only thing I could find fault with was the peach cobbler. It had great flavors, but the crust ne eds to be par-baked before you bake with the filling. Otherwise your crust comes out a little mushy. All in all, a great experience. Lovely staff.
Vegetarian options: Probably not the best place for vegetarians, though some things were on the menu.

I totally suck at names..but, I believe her name is Mandy. If so...SHE IS AWESOME! I haven't been back in H-Town in years (like 15 or 20) (DOI doesn't count) I simply cannot get TRUE "Soul food" in Oregon. So, I looked up the BEST place in Houston and Cassy's is what came up. Years ago I used to go to "just oxtails". Apparently they've fallen off. From now on, when I have loads coming to the port... I'll be stopping by Cassy's for the Good-Good😋🤤👌🏾
