We went to Cassy's for the first time yesterday. I say the first time because we will definitely be going back. The food was quickly presented and it was absolutely delicious. My husband enjoyed the oxtail platter and I enjoyed the smothered turkey wings. The only thing I could find fault with was the peach cobbler. It had great flavors, but the crust ne

I simply cannot get TRUE "Soul food" in Oregon. So, I looked up the BEST place in Houston and Cassy's is what came up. Years ago I used to go to "just oxtails". Apparently they've fallen off. From now on, when I have loads coming to the port... I'll be stopping by Cassy's...

The food was DELICIOUS, and the staff were very sweet. We live about an hour away but will be happy to drive back just for lunch! Took home enough left overs for an entire other meal.
