Service was excellent and food was too. Homemade pasta, good sauces, especially the bolognese.
Everything about this restaurant is AMAZING! From the moment we entered to the moment we left it was perfection! Not to mention the live pianist who was so talented & nice!! I will definitely be coming back!!
Wonderful celebration for my mother‘s 83rd birthday. Our server was excellent and made the experience very memorable. Several people enjoyed the Oso Buco my husband and I had the pasta Pescatori and it was also good wine was a very good value.
We're "occasional regulars" here, one of our favorites. The Caesar salad is to die for. Italian food choice is very good, and the service is attentive without being oppressive. Piano accompaniment adds to the pleasant ambience of this place in its unique rustic building.
The online reservation did not state they closed at 1:30 PM. Our lunch reservation was at 1:00 PM. We requested dessert and were declined. Then, we were asked to leave at 2:00 PM. If they closed at 1:30, this should have been stated when the reservation was made.
We loved this little casual Italian place. Great food, drinks, and vibes with the live music! We received great service from our waiter Alexis. He was attentive and energetic, which really brings the whole experience together. Will for sure be returning!
Can't recommend Cavatore enough!! Food was excellent and authentic, service was amazing, and the pianist was a perfect complement to our dining experience. Already excited for our next visit!
We stopped at 7 on a Saturday. There were at least 5 empty tables and one couple in line. The host told us they could not seat us because there would be no available tables all night.
I’ve been going here for quite awhile, but last night’s (01-29-25) service was the worst we have had. We were there to celebrate a birthday. The waiter was slow. We saw a roach crawl across the empty table next to us. We told the waiter, when he finally came back, and he said ”oh sorry” and took the rolled up napkin, with utensils in it, and smashed the roach on the table! He then proceeded to push it off onto the floor, where it continued to lay! We were just sitting there watching and thinking surely he will have staff come and clean it and remove the roach and tablecloth, but nope! I then had to track him down to get the bill and I wanted to speak with the manager. The manager said he knew nothing about the incident. I looked at the waiter and asked if he told the manager and he said no, but was about to. Mind you, this was now at least 15 minutes later. All the manager said was, “I’m sorry “. Really?! I just looked at him, shook my head and walked out. Unbelievable! What kind of customer service is that?! I will never go back.

They don't close until 9pm, we walk in at 8pm. Plenty of open tables in the dining room. We're told they can't seat us, at all. Sorry restaurant is full. What are you even talking about? There's empty tables. What a joke. I'll definitely be rethinking about coming back.

Incredibly disappointed by this experience. The menus stank of old wet rag (no doubt used to “clean”), which didn’t do this place any favors. Service was fine, but nothing exceptional. The Caesar salad was good but not anywhere near the best. The biggest disappointment was the lasagna that supposedly included bechamel as an ingredient. I did not see a lick of bechamel in this lasagna and when I asked the waiter why it includes “bechamel” as a descriptor, he meekly asserted that it is mixed in with the meat. Indeed very strange and a line I do not believe. The meat was dry and the tomato sauce had a tinge of “can” taste to it. Having read the reviews before dining, I thought this place would be exquisite. In this day and age of excellent Italian eateries, prepare for an average culinary experience.

We went there for 1st time. Picked this place due to reviews and because it looked as though you could talk and visit with out of town guests without yelling and understanding others. Food was amazing. Service was great and since it was before Halloween the staff all dressed up. My niece's young sons enjoyed all the costumes!
Always a good bet for dinner - pham own restaurant that really does a great job - the Caesar salad made table side. It’s one of the highlights of the night.

Rude host. Plenty of tables, but told we’d have to wait since we didn’t have a reservation. Been here many times, no longer very accommodating.
