I have been going to Chacos for many years. Since COVID the food is not the same. The food is prepared with different ingredients, the portions are smaller and the prices are higher. In addition, the restaurant is closed off. The service is drive through.

Food is pretty good but service is horrendous. They are so impatient, it was our first time going so we didn't know what we wanted and asked for a second but kept getting asked "is that it" with every word we said.Want to try it again but hesitant.

TL;dr: Dont go here while the black guy who works late evenings works here. He is a menace and should be dismissed immediately:I work overnight near this place and it used to be a haven for my coworkers and me as a break from the regular fast food restaurants that are open overnight. Let me just say the experience has gotten progressively worse over the years to the point that none of my coworkers will go there anymore. I have a weakness for the enchiladas so I dealt with the ever worsening food quality, the long lines at the drive thru, and the more often than not rude service you get from several (not all) of the employees.The final kicker for me has been the guy who works late evening/overnight at the register. I never caught his name but he's the middle aged black guy who could or could not be the manager. In my last four visits I have seen him come out to the drive way and cuss at people in their cars, throw the bags of food and credit cards back at them, castigate people at the window, and overall just have a very unpleasant disposition.Well tonight before work I go in and of course there's a long line at the drive thru. That's fine, but I'm noticing the 2 to 3 cars ahead of me are waiting at the kiosk and I'm not hearing the microphone takt their order. I pay attention to the car in front of me and see that they're not yelling their order into the microphone and just drive up. At this point I'm at the kiosk and after a few minutes I yelled out hello and spoke into it to see if it were down and were we just going to have to order at the window. After approximately 10 minutes of waiting in that same spot, I got no response asking for my order so I pulled up behind the car at the window. After waiting another 5 minutes there I get to window and greet the man who tells me I was "messed up" and I wasn't supposed to order at the window. I told him I didn't know the kiosk was working as I had been sitting in that spot for 10 minutes and never had anyone ask me for my order. In fact I had seen him look right at me and turned away so what was I supposed to assume besides that broken down dilapidated kiosk wasn't working (again). He said that wasn't his problem and that he didn't take my order cause they were "going through an issue" and that I had to go back around to the back of the line which was now at least 9-10 cars deep. I tried to explain my case, I had been waiting in line for 25 minutes, I called out to see if the kiosk was even working which historically it was known for going out from time to time and you had to order from the window, I had waited 10 minutes at that kiosk anyway and never had anyone say anything to me, and told him I had to get to work. He responded by asking are you going back around or not? I told him I had no time so he closed the window on me.I normally don't leave complaints, much less reviews, especially of this length but I need people to know this was not some random bad experience and I'm just someone who wants to be a "Karen". This place has consistently gone down hill but it was tolerable until this guy working the register that I described got there. I'm surprised I haven't seen some news story where someone has done something drastic to him. He is that bad of an individual and if Chachos had a "Contact Us' section on their webpage I would let them know about their employee who is a cancer on the entire customer service industry. He should immediately be dismissed and discouraged from ever working around people again for not only the peace of mind of the people he would interact with but his own safety.

We went before an event at NRG because it's close to the parking lots. The restaurant looks abandoned and closed, but there were cars at the drive thru. I had read reviews, so we went to the drive thru and then ate in the parking lot at NRG. Good decision!Friendly staff. Fast service. Great food! The mushroom cheese soft taco was an indulgence that I would recommend! The hard shell ground beef taco was so good, even though it fell apart and broke before I could pick it up. I ate it with a fork and it was good. The house beef piled high nachos are good, if a little salty. I would get food from here again if headed to NRG.

Ordered a barbacoa taco. Paid 5$ for a tiny taco. I can go anywhere else and get 3 tacos much cheaper and fatter. A burrito is effing huge cheap as hell. Disappointed and won't eat here again. Taco trucks are the way to go. Used to love this place.

Babyyyy!!! The food was bussing every time!! I got two steak tacos plates with a side of chips & queso dip. My only dislike were the tortilla chips because they are freshly fried but hard to chew literally could break a tooth. Service was nice also helpful as always. I highly recommend this place.

Just left and ordered a chicken ceaser saladWhy I get home and open my salad and it's frozen. Waste of my 12.00 called the restaurant and someone just kept picking up and hanging up. Never again will I purchase salad again from them the way the salad looks I would get food poison from it.

I mean first of all it’s is confusing to get in the parking lot and it looks abandoned most of the time until you see car in the drive thru. Secondly I ordered the Buffalo wings and two steakhouse tacos. The tacos were on point and a nice size but the wings were the worst I have ever eaten. It’s basically stewed chicken wings n tomato sauce.
