I'm reviewing Cherry Block Katy! OMG the meats there are so good! I mean so good that I was there three days in one week! Yes, I was back the next week too! They have ribeye, filets, chicken, bacon but they also have lobster, salmon, frog legs! They have some incredible food to go along with protein! I definitely recommend you check it out!

The wife and I had some time to kill today and decided to check out Bravery Hall around 1:20 PM. After looking at all the options, we chose Cherry Block and decided to try their signature burger, the CB burger (w/fries). I consider myself a connoisseur of signature burgers in and around Houston. So I was really looking forward to this one. It is a double meat burger with all the usual suspects, lettuce/tomato/pickle/onion on a grilled bun. On paper, sounds great, however, that was not the case. Presentation-wise, it looks good, fries included. Taste-wise, not so much. As I was walking back to our booth with our burgers, I smelled something that was a bit off, sort of burnt grease-ish. I shrugged it off and divvy-up'd the plates. We each had the same thing. First bite, first impression - Oh man, this is where it went straight downhill. My first bite, I bit into something hard and gritty. I took it out and it was what I thought was a piece of old burnt food that might have been scraped off the grill and was stuck to the spatula and eventually onto my burger. It was very foul-tasting. I spit it out and took off the top bun and the toppings to view the meat patties. Each patty was very thin and extremely well done on one side, like past well done to burnt. I also found where that burnt grease smell came from, it was the meat. I have a suspicion that the grill hadn't been cleaned before our burgers had been placed on them and either the cook forgot to flip them at some point and just gave us burnt food or that's how all their burgers are. It was extremely unappetizing. Had about 3 bites just to make sure it wasn't in the looks, but no, the taste matched the look, burnt. How were the fries? Not good either, had a weird oily taste like the oil has been used one too many times without being refreshed. At least the Topo Chico we ordered was good.

First time in Bravery Hall. Was told by a friend the burgers were amazing. Was not disappointed. One of the best burgers I've ever had. Amazing Smokey flavor.

Another great tenant of the Bravery Chef Hall. Ordered online for pickup and food was delivered promptly upon my arrival curbside. Ordered a shrimp remoulade sandwich that came with seasoned fries. The specially made bread from Bread Man Baking Co. was the perfect container for the sandwich's shrimp and fried green tomato contents. While the sandwich was good, I was hoping for a bit more oomph in the overall flavor which one usually expects with Louisiana-style food. The seasoned fries on the other hand were fresh and well seasoned, serving as a great accompaniment. All in all, still a good experience and one that will have me going back.

A pleasant surprise find for a nice meal. Doing early voting and a person suggest we go to Bravery Chef Hall. Within is a small cubby of a food service called the Cherry Block. The sandwiches were excellent. The debris roast beef and shrimp po-boy great food. Will now that I found it, I will go back.

Excellent. it's like your great grandmother and grandfather had a baby in the kitchen. And you can taste the difference.

Great quality ribeye cooked perfectly. Just as good as a high end steak house for a fraction of the price.

I came here after having lunch elsewhere, but ordered a CB Burger just because I wanted to see what their burgers were like. At one point, I'll likely return to try more items and see what else they've added to the menu. They were out of several dishes on the menu posted, namely anything with fish and the chicken fried steak bites as well, chalk it up to COVID I'm guessing.Service was friendly and the burger was good, not great. It tasted a little different than I was expecting, hard to describe, and seemed like it was on the small side. Most of their menu is a la carte, so your bill can creep up on you if you order a few different items. Still much more affordable than a full service steakhouse though.

The absolute best meal I've had in a long time, if not the best meal I've ever had. Everything was soooo delicious. Highly recommended, would be an understatement.

Outstanding food. And I mean OUTSTANDING food. I don’t typically write reviews, but after enjoying this place so much (and reading some of these other petulant reviews ?) I felt that I had to speak up. My co-worker Sonja and I never see eye to eye on anything - we have entirely different tastes. But she came to work one day raving about her dinner from the night before, and when I say that this woman does not just hand out compliments, I want you to imagine Miranda Priestly from The Devil Wears Prada. So when she was actually PRAISING a restaurant... I wanted to hear everything. She was raised by a military father and a strict Korean mother who cooked three meals a day. She does not like to eat anything that she didn’t prepare herself. She’s a very conservative and picky eater, but she said that she could not get enough of the food here, particularly noting how farm-to-table FRESH everything was. I have been to this restaurant four times so far, and frankly, five stars is not enough. This restaurant is the very definition of what I look for - a hidden gem that nobody knows about, no long waits, not terribly expensive, but omg amazing quality. And it’s cooked by food connoisseurs that will prepare everything right in front of you. And they’ll tell you about all the work and time and love that goes into making it. I’ve recommended this place to everybody I meet visiting Houston. And so far, everyone that I’ve talked to has had the same great experience that I’ve had. Keep up the great work! I can’t wait to visit again! ❤️

I am so so disappointed. Bravery Chef Hall is one of my favorite places and everything has been so delicious. Today I encountered the Achilles heal of the Hall. I have wanted to try Cherry Block for a while now but never get past Blind Goat. My wife and I had the rib eye and the tenderloin. The rib eye looked like an HEB thin cut and the tenderloin was rare at best. I ordered it medium. We had side of string beans and roasted mushrooms. The string beans were under cooked. We had wine from the wine bar and as usual they were spot on.
