First time trying hotpot in Chongqing style. I chose the chicken and frog hotpot. Initially, the main dish of chicken and frog is stir-fried with a spicy sauce (you can choose the level of spiciness). Then, the staff will pour in the broth so you can continue to dip noodles and vegetables into the hotpot. I was quite impressed with this way of eating. The food was fresh, the spicy flavor was rich and intense, the space was clean, and the staff were enthusiastic.
Chongqing Chicken Pot is hands down my favorite restaurant. I’ve been here on 5 separate occasions and the quality has never cease to disappoint me. How it works: we start off with ordering a pot of chicken and hotpot add-ins. While we wait for our food, we make our hotpot dipping sauce.
