My family has been going to Christies Seafood for the last 31 years. They have by far the best oysters I have ever had, and the best snapper I have ever had.We continue this tradition every Friday night. Quite often, we run into our high school friends and some of our neighbors. The servers and staff are always extremely friendly. Thanks from the Arnold family..

The service was great! All of the wait staff and employees were friendly. The service is my favorite thing about this restaurant. The atmosphere is nice too, it gives a classic restaurant feel. Nothing modern about it . I loved that part. I got the baked oysters. It had potential but it was lacking in flavor. I also got the fried shrimp. The batter was bland. My friend got the fried oysters and blackened shrimp. I wish I would've gotten the blackened shrimp. They looked like they were good. So for the service A+ but that food could use a little more flavor.

Can’t speak to much else but the fried shrimp dinner is a classic. A must-visit place whenever in Houston.

I had been wanting to try this place for several years ever since my Mom mentioned that she used to go here for dinner with friends. After all, it's been there since before both us of were born! So we went in during the Oscars and sat at the bar. We had the best service and ordered some beers, then got some fantastic rolls. When you combine those rolls with the butter it's the perfect warm up to the main course! I got the rainbow trout with a baked potato and shrimp. So tasty and great flavors! I would recommend this place if you're craving seafood in Houston!

The food, the service, and the ambiance is off the charts. The Christie's Pride is my favorite seafood dish in Houston, & you can't go wrong with the oldest fish samich in town. My wife & I have been eating at Christie's together for 48 years, our favorite seafood restaurant period. We miss the ole Christie's on South Main with the giant shrimp packing his Colt 45s, but the food is still excellent

What a great family restaurant. The oysters and their special Greek-style fish were both exquisite. With a full bar, super friendly service, and fair pricing, this has to be among the best restaurants in Houston.

Recently, we were chatting about how special Sundays were when we were young kids. We remembered getting in the car to go down to the seafood restaurants on South Main like Kaplan's, etc. Those memories brought us to stop by Christie's for Sunday dinner. We have never eaten there before, but we were happy to find that we made a great choice! Tables have good spacing, and they have thoughtful, well trained staff. The only lapse was after we were brought water and had time to peruse the menus, our waiter never appeared. After 10 minutes a server apologized for the wait and it was smooth sailing. We started with the Oysters Rockefeller and those were the biggest oysters cooked to perfection. We upgraded to Greek salads and they were properly served on chilled plates with ripened tomatoes. Finally, our entrees of Christie's Pride with au gratin potatoes and blackened Tilapia with dirty rice were delicious! I liked how the seasoning on the tilapia was perfectly balanced and was not heavily dependent on salt. We even had leftovers to bring home. Portions were generous and it was an excellent dining experience. We were too full for dessert, but the Bananas Foster pie sounded good. We have a new place close to home to have fresh seafood. Kudos to management on the great staff and food. A big plus is the nice parking lot!

We had Christie's cater our event in the Museum district and it was so delicious! Their team was so kind and attentive to our every need! We look forward to having them cater for us again

Service is incredible and prompt. The oyster stew is the absolute best! Highly recommend. Clean, nice atmosphere and not too loud.

Had my father's birthday dinner here with a group of friends a few weeks back; and from a group of foodies (from Louisiana, no less)... it was fantastic!!! Staff was great and ensured we had a wonderful night. Really enjoyed our evening here, and will be returning!
