Great Food & Great People ! They have been in business 23 years and it's easy to see/taste why !I ate the Oxtails, Greens, Yams & cornbread. (Forgot to take a picture !) Amazing food ! Nice, clean dining room !Cornbread was just like my Gramm's ! Too many places say "Soul Food" but have no soul ! Your soul will be lifted after eating at Christine's !??
Got the fried fish and shrimp plate. The shrimp were the size of a peeled crawfish and all the breading fell off the fish. The yams were the only thing that was relatively ok tasting. The macaroni was not baked and it was watery and flavorless. The cornbread was hard as a rock. Not worth $17
Always a pleasure dining here! The customer service is always above par! Ms. Christine is a delight and always welcoming and working hard. Her staff is friendly, hard-working and always treat us like family! Family environment and loving!! Oh and let's not forget the oh so delicious food!!!!!
I had been calling this place all morning to find out if they were serving chitterlings before driving over there from Tomball. Gas is too darn high to be running anywhere for a blank trip. Every time I called someone would pickup the the phone then put it down. No hello, hold on, or nothing. All I heard was background sounds.I ended up driving over there just to find out that they didn’t have any cooked today. I turned around and walked right out. All of this unnecessary driving could have been avoided. What’s the purpose of having a company number posted on Google if you’re not going to answer it?The level of service in our communities are getting worse by the day as if people don’t have that same hunger for the business as they did when they were trying to get their name out there. Don’t start slacking on customer service or any part of service for that matter once you get your customers established.
After Covid a lot of mom&pop restaurants faded in the wind. I’ve tried a few Soul Food joints in town. Christine’s stays consistent. You have to make sure you get there at the right time to get fresh food. Everything I’ve eaten has been pretty good. We prefer to take our food to go and reheat our meals in the microwave. The dining area in the restaurant is uninviting and a little suspect. The prices are a little high, but that is pretty much anywhere you go for Soul food. However, they pile on the food at Christine’s. Overall, I recommend this restaurant for to-go orders.
Customer service was great food is fresh greens were not tough chicken is really good flavor I don’t know if the macaroni and cheese is baked but the macaroni cheese is OK I would recommend going for the greens in chicken
I love supporting BOBs! The owner is nice. Food is 70/30 hit or miss. I always get the meatloaf, ox tails or turkey legs. Sweet potatoes are DELICIOUS ?
Eventhough it looks like a restaurant, smells like a restaurant, and is advertised as a restaurant, you will be more satisfied if you base your experience on take-out. Dine-in customer service was horrendous. 4 out of the 5 plates were fantastic, But that last plate was saaaaad. Definitely ask how much everything is or you'll walk away with a $6+ piece of cake.
The candied yams are ALWAYS the best. My chitterlings were not hot throughout. I thought it was heated up and did not heat up entirely. The collard greens were good and fresh too.The hostess was horrible! She didn't ask if I wanted my order to go and assumed that I did. I sat there in the cold restaurant and ate my food out of a to-go box. I was almost half way finished with my dinner before she brought me my water. I asked for my receipt which she failed to provide. She said she would have to ring the order up again. I told her that would cause her register to be off. A gentleman assisted her with printing out a receipt. She was furious! She accused me of giving her a hard time all evening! That could not have been further from the truth. I did tell her not to get mad at me just because she didn't know how to do her job. She ranted and raved until I exited the restaurant! This was my worst experience there EVER!! I have been eating here for over 20 years. Service has always been slow and inconsistent, but to add rude customer service to it, is just unacceptable!!
In fairness, let me say we all have our not so good, and those really good days in the kitchen. Unfortunately, this must have been one those not so good days. I've had a whole lot better. No real flavor, so don't think you'llwanna slap yo momma after spending your hard earned money.

Christine’s use to be a very nice place excellent food. Customer service is very very poor. I went there to get chitterlings so I would have to clean them. The order of chitterlings was 32.00 for a container and it wasn’t full at all they charge 16 dollars but only for a half order pathetic sorry very disappointed
Food and service is superior! Excellent customer service and truly enjoyed the oxtails, steak and gravy, fish, cabbage, cornbread and the cakes.... the best I've had in a long time! Please visit this place! Quality small owned black business! A true favorite!
I got the turkey wings w/ greens & cabbage & a separate veggie plate. The food was just okay. Not very much flavor, however, the portion size is great!
I have visited this place several times, I rarely eat soul food however I love their greens and sweet potatoes. I ordered two meals, oxtails and meatloaf, the food was bland, no season and the ox tails were tough. I wish she would get better cooks
Good food, mediocre service and extra long wait times for fried foods. They even forgot what I ordered. 45 minutes for a fried fish plate is completely unacceptable. Especially when I was first in line.
