The food was not good. They should have kept their original menu. We ended up sending our food back and offered to pay for our drinks because those were good but the manager was nice enough to take care of those for us.
Everything was so good. The food was really tasty. The service was good. The music got louder towards 10 PM. I would say that the salmon was really good. Drinks were good and strong. I will definitely be coming back.
This restaurant and lounge purports to showcase an upscale environment with a strict dress code and fine dining cuisine. This place is a dump, the food is horrible, the drinks are terrible, the service and management....bush-league. The table in our booth was super wobbly, the finishes were trash. Chairs and tables were stacked in the corner with staff congregating and lollygagging. Manager seemingly didn't care. If you want fine dining and dancing DO NOT GO TO CIEL! P.S. The valet company told us a disabled parking space was ONLY for valet customers. We should have left then.
Always great to be part of Ciel’s dining experience. My husband and I had such a lovely dinner and Photo Booth experience tonight and were greeted so warmly by the staff. We loved the ease of the preset dinner this evening, though we usually can’t resist the hamachi sushi. We’ll definitely be back soon!

We reserved a table for 8 people a night ago and confirmed it again two hours before our reservation time. We were told that our reservation was registered. However, when we arrived for my birthday celebration, they told us that our reservation had been canceled because someone else had booked all the tables.
Such a shame for Ciel! They completely ruined our night and my birthday.

Ciel is not simply a restaurant—it is a refined, immersive dining experience that exemplifies modern luxury in Houston’s culinary scene. From the moment you arrive, you are enveloped in an atmosphere of elegance and sophistication, where every detail has been intentionally designed to elevate the guest experience. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between upscale glamour and contemporary warmth, making it ideal for both intimate evenings and celebratory occasions.
The interior design is striking yet tasteful, with thoughtful lighting, sleek finishes, and an energetic yet controlled vibe that enhances, rather than distracts from, the dining experience. Music, seating, and spatial flow are curated to create a seamless sense of exclusivity and comfort.
Ciel’s culinary execution is where the experience truly shines. Each dish reflects a high level of technical mastery, creativity, and respect for premium ingredients. The menu is bold yet refined, offering well-balanced flavors that feel intentional and harmonious rather than overcomplicated. Presentation is visually stunning, transforming each plate into a work of art without compromising substance or flavor.
Equally impressive is the cocktail program. The bar delivers innovative, expertly crafted cocktails that rival those of top international lounges. Every drink is thoughtfully balanced, visually appealing, and designed to complement the cuisine perfectly. Whether you prefer classic elegance or adventurous mixology, the offerings exceed expectations.
Service at Ciel is consistently exceptional. The staff is polished, attentive, and highly knowledgeable, providing a level of hospitality that feels both professional and genuinely welcoming. Timing is impeccable, recommendations are insightful, and every interaction reflects a clear commitment to excellence.
In conclusion, Ciel stands as one of Houston’s premier dining destinations. It delivers a complete sensory experience—exceptional food, world-class service, refined ambiance, and unforgettable moments. Whether for a special celebration, a romantic dinner, or an elevated night out, Ciel is a destination that not only meets high expectations but decisively surpasses them. A true gem for discerning diners seeking excellence at every level.

I visited for the first time on my birthday, and unfortunately it will also be my last. Our experience was completely overshadowed by poor service. We waited nearly an hour past our reservation time to be seated and spent that entire time at the bar, where we were never acknowledged by the bartender.
Once seated, we placed our full order, but our server disappeared and never checked back in. Food and drinks took an excessive amount of time to arrive, and throughout the meal we were unable to get refills on our empty waters or order additional cocktails because our server never returned to the table. We had to repeatedly ask other staff members to locate her with no success.
Eventually, we asked for boxes and left most of our food untouched because we were ready to leave. We even had to walk around the restaurant to find our server just to pay our bill and get the boxes. For a restaurant at this price point, it’s unacceptable to be left without drinks or service.
Gratuity was automatically included, which may explain the lack of attentiveness. While the food was excellent and the atmosphere was beautiful, the service alone makes this a place I wouldn’t recommend. Houston has plenty of upscale restaurants that deliver both quality food and proper service.
Two stars solely for the food and aesthetic.
Great first time experience. Valet parking is affordable. Service & food was great. Our waitress was attentive & gave great recommendations. The atmosphere, music, & ambiance was well worth it. Definitely recommend making reservations .

Restaurantji Recommends
The atmosphere was exactly what was promoted but the food was a no. They offered a side salad with a half a breast on top for $30. I expected a meal salad for that amount. Definitely was not worth it. The wings were okay and the salmon that was ordered was okay but none of it was worth the price

I dined in on the 13th for my 25th birthday dinner with my close friends and it was the worse service I ever experienced. We sat down at 7:45 and did not leave until 10:30. It was only 5 of us.
We saw our server maybe 4 times the entire night. I was promised to be sung Happy Birthday and it never happened.
We finally spoke with a “manager” who turned out to not be a manager at all. He promised us to make it right with free shots and he walked back to the bar and never turned back around.
Not too much mention the server lost my candles. And expressed an attitude when asked about them. Food was good but the service trumped everything. Would definitely not recommend dining in.
Terrible Service – Completely Ruined a Birthday
This place completely dropped the ball. We came to celebrate a birthday and couldn’t even get a simple “happy birthday,” which should be the bare minimum. We saw our server, Zach, maybe two times the entire night — absolutely unacceptable.
To make things worse, a man named Lupe lied about being the owner and promised us shots to make up for the awful service. Surprise — they never came. Don’t make promises you don’t intend to keep.
It took a full hour just to get appetizers, which is ridiculous. The lack of attention, extremely slow service, and empty apologies made this experience frustrating from start to finish. We left disappointed and annoyed. I would not recommend this place if you care about service or honesty.

Owner is really creepy, the way he treats his staff is gross. Avoid at all costs
Had a reservation Saturday, they never canceled. When I pulled up was told I couldn’t get in because of a private event. Very poor customer service and communication. I don’t even want to come here anymore.
