FILTHY. RUDE WAITERS. DO NOT EAT HERE. My mother and I came in for breakfast and ordered a plate of dumplings, soy milk, and eggs. The food took an extremely long time to come out. When our food finally came, we found TWO COCKROACHES in our plate of dumplings! I didn't want to make a huge commotion, so I waived for the waitress to come by so I can quietly tell her. She stood behind the counter and yelled across the room, "what do you need?!" I asked if she can come here. She yelled again "what do you need just tell me!" So I yelled back "there's two cockroaches in my dish!" Now all the other customers are staring and looking in their dishes for roaches. The waitress came and took my plate of dumplings back and didnt say a word. We sat there for a little bit and nobody came back to apologize for the rude behavior or anything. I told my mom we should just leave. The waiter then came with a check and said "we removed the dumplings." STILL no apology NOTHING. Never coming back here!

NEVER AGAIN. Possibly the worst Chinese food in Chinatown. Interior is old and dumpy. Menu is limited (what little is listed in English) and over priced for what's delivered. If you're not some ancient grandparent who wanders in expect to get the bum's rush. ("you ordah to go? what, you eat here?!") After that, table service is non-existent. Ended up here because the Yelp listing for next door was incorrect. Worth waiting for other places (ANY other place) to open in this huge mall.

My friends wanted to try Chinese breakfast food and it's been awhile so we went as a group Similar experience - dirty restaurant and the owner tries to pull a fast one on her customers. Make sure you calculate your bill because she will increase your bill! It's not the money, but the principle How is this legal???

Was very excited to find a place that serves Northern Chinese cuisine/breakfast. However, the service is a bit subpar. Food is around average, but decent enough compared to other similar places in America. Do not recommend baozi (meat bun), highly Recommend the 豆腐脑 (tofu)

Shocked to see that this place is doing so poorly on yelp. No need for yelp clout though, this place has a cult following and is always bustling. The people who complain about poor service here have it backwards. The servers don't waste time on niceties and you have to let them know what you need, but they are extremely responsive and the food comes out incredibly quickly and consistently each time. Fond childhood memories of this place, though it has changed owners and chefs a few times in the process. Truly an enduring gem of China Town. Some menu items are done better than others, so ask a server if you aren't certain what you want. Recs: you tiao, salty tofu curd (xian dou nao), fried chicken noodles (if they have it), beef tendon noodles If you get noodles get them knife cut (dao xiao) Bring cash. Come for breakfast/brunch. Browse KMart afterwards after snagging a full stomach for $6 a person.

Cheap eat. Hole in the wall. If you want some traditional Chinese breakfast come here. Nothing to drink. Barely any AC. For a second I thought I was in China. At least the food came out hot.

I went to this restaurant yesterday, as this used to be one of my favorites. Much to my disappointment, the service and the food quality were all so terrible that I feel like not only I have to write a bad review, but also report to the health department. A stinky smell is the first thing one will notice when walking inside. Hesitatingly, I tried to get some cold plate first, but found they were all days old. I picked one that looked a little better, but then had to spit it out as it went bad. The vegetables were sticky and stinky. So I complained to the waitress and chef / manager who were all very rude. I had to leave without enduring any further. I will never step into this restaurant again!

The best Chinese places rate about 2-3.5 stars on yelp because it's a mix of Americans giving it 1 star review and Chinese people giving it 5 stars, so Classic Kitchen is pretty good despite what the reviews say. I will say the fillings like the dumplings, xiaolongbao, and stuff were very meh. I would stay away from those dishes. However, the jajiangmian was great. Pumpkin red bean things were great. There's a lot of good classic Northern Chinese breakfast dishes that remind me of Beijing. Service is fast, but menu is Chinese only. Def come with someone who speaks Chinese and can read.

I chose poorly! This used to be a spot that had decent quality traditional Chinese food, not any more! Ordered 4 dish, all sucked! Onion pancake, soggy dough with no taste. Steam soupy bao - Soggy reheated mess that already leaked all the soup out when it got to the table. Pot stickers - salty nasty mess.

I wonder if everything here is cooked last year and heated in microwave before serving. The table is stinky and server and chef are extremely rude. I couldn't swallow anything I ordered and I ordered a lot so I left without leaving a tip. The chef took the trouble to follow me to my car and blocked me from backing out, I rolled down the window just to hear him complaining about not leaving a tip. Wow, I read about this about him but just got the first hand experience. Nothing is right with this place, stale food, rude server, non existent hygiene and crazy chef.

Okay in a pinch. Will not be a regular stop on my breakfast circuit. Food has no zip. Cungyuobin is too thick. Doujiang no seasoning.

I have been coming here for years, and always served by this Chinese lady, always took care of her. Never had problem. Today the check was obviously higher than before. And the total was marked with pensile on the back. I noticed because I always order the same things. I asked her, and she said she added 15% tips. Wow, without telling your customer? And even with that the total was higher. What a bold aggressive move to get more tips. I won't be back until she is fired.

Terrible service. The one female server here is the rudest person I've ever met and yelled at a table of customers for poor tipping although she didn't provide ANY service. Didn't come to take our order and was all-around unpleasant any time we spoke to her. She definitely seemed to discriminate against certain people. Noodle dish came out with literally a scoop of ice cold congealed sauce on top. The inside is dirty and disgusting. This used to be the place to go for Chinese breakfast but both the food and service here are abysmal now.
