For over 15yrs I have been visiting Mi Pueblito restaurant at Richmond, Houston. I live an hour away. At the beginning it was the best of the best. Slowly but sure they have come down to not that good. Last couple of times there, the service as usual is very good, but the quality of the food, is not the best and the amounts of food served have gone down and the prices up. Just went there on Friday February 3, 2023 around 5pm. The place was still almost empty at that time. So I thought, Friday evening I will get the first and best of the food. (wrong)The service as usual was great. I ordered the small bandeja paisa. The platanos maduros felt like they were from early on the day or from the day before they were very hard, like they were re-heated, the same for the Chicharron, it was like steel, I could not bite on it. So I felt like I was eating old food, not fresh. And the empanadas are smaller now. I decided not to talk to the Manager as I'm not returning to that place. Old re-heated food!!!!

Have been eating at this place for many years and it always takes me back to memories I have of Colombia. The food is good, I have ALWAYS ordered the Bandeja Paisa (small version), this time I was determined to order something different. Ordered the Picada [without the Morcilla (blood sausage)] and asked them to cook it so that the yuca was crunchy and the chorizo and chicharon was crispy as well. WOW it was a huge plate, enough to share; asked for a to go box for what I was not able to finish. Danielle our waiter was amaizing; always there when we needed something anticipating our needs. The only thing I would change are the TV screens, if I wanted to eat in front of a TV, I would do that at home. Maybe bring out the TV screens during the World Cup and other BIG games/sporting events, that would be my suggestion. Also, would like to have Uva (grape) Postobon. Will continue to frequent this establishment

I have visited this place for 24 years. The food has been tasty but the price for food and drinks have really gotten pricey for the area. The bread is not good at all. They should stick to food.
