I like the breakfast and the coffee and the service,

AMAZING lavender cheesecake. Shrimp grits very tasty but greasy. This location can get a little noisy, still, solid food.

The coffee is AMAZING, but the employees are even better. We are out-of-towners who first stumbled upon this restaurant when stranded during an airline shutdown, then returned as my husband prepared for medical treatment and we had long drives and many nerve-wracking appointments. Through both of these difficult situations, Common Bond was the bright spot fueling our mornings with friendly treatment and delicious food and drinks. My favorites are the blueberry muffins, the fruit tarts, the scones, and anything on their coffee menu.

I honestly don’t know where to begin. I have never had shrimp and grits before. Unfortunately, the bar has been set so high that I’m not sure if I’ll be able to enjoy it from anywhere else. I also had the pleasure of tasting the morning bun, pistachio croissant, and kouign amann all of which I would highly recommend. As someone who has tried food from many different cities and countries I’m not exaggerating when I say that this is some of the best food and pastries I’ve ever had. I’m just hoping that Keith Lee doesn’t find out about this and increase the wait time, unless they need it. 10/10 please come try it out!!

Fan-FREAKING-tasic. Like omg. Best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had. Like what the heck?? I was not expecting that lol packed with flavor, contrasting textures, and the presentation was excellent. Everything was seasoned to perfection. The shrimp and grits m alone will bring me back! The pastries…delicious. The Nashville shrimp, amazing. My new favorite bistro in Houston.

In the words of Keith Lee (regarding the shrimp and grits)…TEN!!! I have absolutely zero critiques. Superb. The chef needs a raise for that one. Hopefully they don’t switch up and get worse eventually but as of today, TEN TEN TEN.

Disappointing visit. We have visited the Holcomb location every Sunday for years. We haven’t been during the summer and arrived back to find prices has been significantly increased since May. Also we were very disappointed with the service unable to accommodate a simple request to substitute hashbrowns for fruit without up-charge. That’s a shame. We won’t be back for a while.

I came with some friends to order takeout in the morning. The line was not long and the menu was aesthetically pleasing and vast. I ordered a Bacon & Egg Pizza and a Lemonade. The pizza tasted amazing and the lemonade was quite refreshing. I enjoyed my visit and the staff were friendly and polite. Will definitely come back in the future.

Good variety of pastries and sweets. But more than $5 for a small black coffee with ice?! A bit ridiculous.

I have to brag about an employee that made my day. I went in to buy my wife a chocolate chip cookie and some other pastries as we do on days we need to go to the hospital. She has recently been fighting cancer and it’s a great reward for her. The gentleman behind the desk was very caring and intentionally asked how I was doing. He found a way to ask a little more than the commonalities we all use at restaurants and understood it was a bit of a harder day. When he heard my wife had to have a procedure today, he immediately asked “does she like macaroons?” He absolutely made her day with a simple gesture and a couple of extra questions.
Thank you so much for making both our days and just relating! I will always give this place my business and promote them. (Also it’s easy because their pastries speak for themselves.)

Great coffee shop with a full breakfast, pastry, and lunch offerings. We went last week for some late morning coffee and early lunch and were NOT disappointed.

Buddies got the turkey sandwhich and the smoked salmon plate which they really enjoyed. I ordered the salmon power bowl. It was wonderful and really healthy yet filling. It was a great start to my day and light enough for these horrific Houston summer days.

Coffee was great and the service was awesome. Excited to go back and try other things! Pastries looked amazing.
