I’m leaving this review simply because Natalie is the best Barista hands down. She made me a salted caramel Latte and it’s been THE BEST ONE i’ve tried. I can’t express how much it takes me back to one my father would drink back in Chicago so it definitely holds a special place in my heart. Thank you so much Natalie for my Latte. I love it and officially coming here all the time for it. <3

The pastries are amazing. Had a fruit tart and some Macarons to go, definitely some of the best I have ever had. Dine in, I had the breakfast tacos and they were great as well. Really good to have such a fine bakery/bistro option in the area.

Im sorry but this place was gross. We walked in and the workers just stared at us, not in a rude was but in a lost way. We went to order the cashier seemed clueless about the menu. We waited for our drink and most of the open seats were dirty. The baristo decided to use the spoons on the counter to mix our drink and the lids were bent and one of the cups seemed dirty and was buldging. But the worse part was the coffee tasted awful, cheap, and lukewarm. I personally wouldnt go back, the place seems great online but in person it isnt good.

This is 1 of my favorite bakery chains. But, on this visit, after spending $40 on pastries. It included a brownie that was so dry that it crumbled like sand upon touching it. I really wanted my chocolate fix that day 😩

Just had to applause the playlist here. The music is really great. It’s like I’m on aux LOL. The service is also wonderful. Really friendly staff. Got the chef’s scramble. It was okay. The eggs were delicious. The sausage was dry and hard. The bread was really chewy. I struggled to finish the plate. Bit pricey here but prices are up everywhere.

I love coming to Common Bond for their ham and cheese baguette and tomato basil soup combo. Their food is delicious. I also love their fruit tarts and other pastries. Friendly staff and great service.

Great coffee, but I walked in with no line ahead and still took employees some time to greet me

Good service. They were very busy on a Sunday afternoon. I enjoyed the Brussels sprouts, cheesy grits, and Asian slaw. The iced tea wasn’t bad but not great. The brownie tasted funny, so I didn’t even finish it.

Review Update: They have now AGAIN shrunk their croissants and especially the chocolate ones (as you can see in the picture). They are comically sized and it’s getting ridiculous. This is after a price increase not too long ago. And on top of these a devaluing of their rewards into the new “better” (but it’s actually much worse) program.

It’s so sad to see what they are doing to this place after the original baker sold it to the company that owns it now. I used to be a regular.

Original review: The food and pastries are good (although the quality has still dropped from when they initially opened) although I will start going to other places now. Since they got larger and more locations, quality and quantity have gone down while prices up.

Food: The value proposition though with the cost is getting a bit further so I will not be going as much and going to different and newer places). 3 person brunch with an average brunch dish and a coffee for each person plus one pastry is $70 and not even including tip. I could be wrong but seems the prices were raised recently as well. However if you decide to go try the bacon and egg flatbread or if very hungry the beef and grits.

Pastries: Still recommend going for the pastries and these are still reasonably priced for what your getting. Croissants and the fruit tarts would be the best in my opinion.

This place has really gone down hill. Who’s making the coffee?! Three different people touched my coffee cup, and completely forgot about it. The cashier, apparently the barista, finally followed by a random worker who just poured milk into the worst cup of coffee I’ve probably had. Look at the picture. Is this what a latte looks like? More like drip coffee with hot milk.

When you go to a coffee shop, (not Starbucks or Dunkin) you expect a relaxed atmosphere and comfy seating. This place has plastic chairs, is noisy, and has no shade for their outdoor seating. Its setup like a restaurant, but serves like a bakery. The staff was hurried and uninviting, the pastry was really shabby, and the coffee was unappealing. If you want to relax and read a book/work on your laptop, Agora which is right across the street is a MUCH better option. Imo this place aint it

This is the worst food in Houston. Surprisingly, the service is even worse. I am giving a one star review simply because they do not allow ZERO!!! Stay away!!!!!!!

Poor ventilation inside at this location. Been to this place multiple times and every time it smells smoky inside . Manager onsite was unprofessional - trying to tell a table with a child not to eat outside food (leftover food from school) even the parent was eating the food purchased from the store . Maybe their business mindset ruined their common sense of empathy.
