Ordered take-out from here for a late night Chinese food craving. Overall order came out pretty good. We ordered the sesame chicken, pork buns, and combination fried rice. The sesame chicken was a little sweet for my taste but flavor is still pretty good. The chicken was cooked well, not hard or soggy if you know what I mean. The pork buns were okay, only complaint is there was an overwhelming amount of ginger, I could barely taste the pork and the rest of the seasoning. But the bun itself was cooked nicely, doesn't taste stale or soggy, had the right amount of bounce to it. The fried rice was excellent! The rice was perfect, not hard or chewy, just right. We picked up our order so there wasn't any service but based off of reviews, there weren't complaints about service, and walking in for pick up, it looked like cottage vibes but like I said, we ordered take out so we didn't have the sit-in experience. I see this is a franchise and if we are in town again, we would definitely try this spot again. Check this place out! Till then, let's eat!!!!

I recommend the shrimp and caviar dumplings and the Mongolian beef. The red oil dumplings were very salty and lacking spice. The scallion pancakes and soup dumplings were okay but I wouldn't get them again.

This restaurant was great! Good service, decent dishes, and the staff were kind enough to provide a free cheesecake for my birthday lunch. Also their boba is to die for - I was pleasantly surprised.

Restaurant was empty on a Saturday evening, which made my husband skeptical, but was pleasantly happy with our food. The only complaint I have is there was a gentleman that was taking our order and he didn’t seem to have that great of an attitude. He’s attitude wasn’t the worst but could definitely be worked on. Regardless, we will probably be back for lunch. ?

Wonton soup is PERFECT!
Had a sweet and sour fish that was very good, I usually get this dish with chicken and thought this was unique. Soup dumplings were great, pan seared dumplings were good too! I accidentally down voted the service while checking out because I thought it was the “no receipt” button in a hurry! Oops, we got a little laugh and the server was cool about it. We’ll come back and make up for it.

This is a cute spot and it absolutely satisfies one's craving when downtown options are prime. As far as Sichuan food goess in Houston.. after trying this place I would say that Mala Sichuan has the edge when it comes to flavor, quality, and price.
Also to explain my three for service.. The first person that I encountered on entering the restaurant seemed reticent to help.. second person was more hospitable. The three is mostly earned by the second person.

Parking: We walked into this place not knowing what to expect. The sign out front for Dan Dan noodles made us stop. We weren't expecting much but turned out to be one the best places we visited in our week long trip to Houston.
Staff was some of the friendliest people and we couldn't have expected better.
The food was another top notch experience. We got Dan Dan noodles, curry buns, the sesame buns and lo main. The lo main was nothing to write home about but still good. Everything else was just amazing.
This is definitely a must stop next time I visit.
