This is a "must do" when in the Houston area. We have frequented this restaurant when traveling here and love the ambiance of the restaurant and the quality of the food. The bar area is inviting and a nice way to enjoy a meal, drink or dessert. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

Usually love the food here, tonight missed. Service was slower than usual too for a not as busy as normal night, waited almost 40 minutes to get my food ordered bc my server was nowhere to be found. Pizza drenched in oil, pasta was overcooked and soggy and just tasted like pasta water

The chairs are quite hard to sit in and it is not possible to bring my mother here because of the chairs. The food, service and quality are great. If only the chairs could be changed so my mother could enjoy dining here too.

Our experience at Coppa Osteria was fabulous!! Such a friendly staff ! We were celebrating a special occasion and the entire staff made us feel special. Our entrees were wonderful but I have to say the meatball was the best I have ever had! We lived in Houston for a short while 5 years ago and this was our favorite spot. It certainly didn't disappoint on our visit back. Our server recommended a great red wine and personalized our whole experience!!! Loved the night!

Cocktails were great but the service and food were not. Once we finally ordered cocktails, appetizers and bread requests the cocktails were delivered. While waiting for the appetizer the waiter ask if we wanted to order and were assured he would space it out. The appetizer arrived but not the bread which was to go with the appetizer. We requested two more times. Our dinner arrived before the bread ever arrived and just minutes after the appetizer arrived. We told them We were not ready for the dinner and was assured they would remake it once we were ready. Dinner arrived and it was the same that they tried to deliver about 20 minutes earlier. The Paccheri di Mare was nothing as stated in the menu. The sauce was actually more of a soup. 5 shrimp 10 noodles $30??? Attached is a picture of the shrimp dish I received and what they have on their website.

We love the food here and often come with family and friends. However, our experience on Easter was disappointing. Our server only came to the table twice — once to take the order and once to bring the check. It felt inattentive, especially compared to our past visits.

I was in the area and wanted to eat some Italian food. After a quick search, I ended up here and was seated promptly on the well decorated patio. I enjoyed one of the gin based cocktails followed by the charred okra as a starter which was really good. The main pasta dish (tagliatelle Nero) was also prepared very well although it could have used a little more spice and salt. I got a special dessert of croissant bread pudding which was very rich but still enjoyable. Overall, I think this is a place worth checking out.

Business dinner so didn’t take pictures. Sat outside on a temperate evening. Cocktails were good - had a Negroni before dinner.
Food was really good. Nice portions for apps - sautéed version of fritto misto. And I had the truffle mushroom risotto, paired with a cab franc wine. Others in the party got the whole Branzino and the shrimp scampi dish. and Prices were reasonable.

Absolutely delicious meal with family for my birthday. The lit candles on the table set a cool vibe. And I highly highly suggest the spaghetti carbonara. And the waiter even mixed the egg and Parmesan cream into it at the table! The lemon drop and espresso were also fab!

I have frequented this Restaurant many times. My last visit was disappointing. Lots have changed unfortunately. First up our server brought a beer and poured it in a water glass, we asked for a different glass and eventually got one! The Food portions have definitely decreased along with the quality. Too many tables than before, feels cramped. The ladies restroom needs better attention. The vanity was filthy dirty with lots of used napkins and water all over the place on the floor also! If you’re this busy on a Saturday night it’s important to assign a member of staff to keep check on the restroom! If the restroom is not clean then I wonder about the standard of hygiene in the kitchen. I don’t think I’ll be running back anytime soon. Sad because it used to be my favorite place in Houston.

We stopped in for dinner service and had a wonderful experience! The waiters were attentive. We had two orders of the Branzino and the Veal Parmesan which was all very good. We finished our meal with the Italian donuts. We will definitely come back when we are in the area!
