Got the egusi, asun jollof rice, pounded yam, peppered turkey, and peppered pomo, fried stew and white rice. The pounded yam and jollof rice were the only things that were good on their own. After adding a maggi cube and some garlic onion to the stew and egusi, they were really good. Giving 2 stars because they had to be cooked longer to taste good. The Pomo was good, and the ingredients in the stew were very fresh
Finally stopped by after seeing the hype about this location, and it didn’t disappoint. I had the turkey wings, beef and fish with a cold malt to flush it down at the house. 10/10 would recommend

The food looked and smelt good but was too salty. I mean everything. I had real high expectations for the food but it was cut short

Food was extra salty, portion was small for the price and guys, we all should watch what we eat because if you know who is handling your food, in some instances, you won't eat it. Eat at Houston African Restaurants at your own risk because if you know some of these so called caterers/chefs personally, you will choose dehydration after they have handed you a sealed bottle water . Read that again. My husband and I are done with 9ja restaurants because most of them stay violating state health codes just to maximize profits. Texas is worse off because these people bring that naija mindset here because they cater to Nigerians. if their target customers were caucasians, they would be more compliant with health and safety regulations . why are we so mean and incompassionate to one another,?

I am from Los Angeles and looked up this place and it has not disappointed! The food was amazing, the drinks are to die for and the music feels like you are secluded in a car listening to your favorite song. The place is 5 stars

I have to wait more than 1 hour for just 2 meals, with no any explanation about being late from the restaurant. Never order again. Bad service.
This restaurant randomly showed up on my uber and when i tell you i made the best decision to order from here

Waited here for an hour for to get the food ready. And the lady is very rude. Won’t come to this place again or recommend to anyone.
I have been patronizing Chef Lola for the past 4 years or so. Her food is delicious and her service is top notch. If you are looking for authentic Nigerian cuisine in Houston she is your person. You won’t regret it.

Best Nigerian food in Houston. The chef is always on point and the food is well spiced and satisfactory. I feel so happy having found Nigerian food in the US that tastes like I’m home. Compliments to the chef.
