We tried credence to see if it lived up to the hype. The premise is that the restaurant focuses on a campfire feel with all items being cooked over. Open flame. We started with the monkey bread that used beef tallow on the top of the bread. It was light, Smokey and a hint of the meat taste to the bread. We had the tuna appetizer which was small but extremely tasty and bite sized. For dinner, we had snapper and steak with a side of potatoes. The fish was great. Light flakey with a seared crispy bottom. The vegetables were a little to Smokey for the taste of the eater. The steak was thick and well seasoned. We had creamed mashed potatoes which we a highlight of the meal. We finished with chocolate peanut butter tart. Big enough for two and wonderful.
Service was great and attentive. A great evening. Thanks for the great service.

The atmosphere is lovely and the drinks were good. We only tried two food items. The deviled crabs were delicious but the lounge menu ham and cheese on a tiny piece of cornbread was dry, flavorless, and a complete waste. The price for 3 cocktails and 2 tiny appetizers, was $115. The high price, tiny portions, and mixed reactions on food means we won’t rush to return.

This was my mother’s and I first time coming to this restaurant and it was a 10/10! We had mimosas, the deviled crab, shrimp and grits, and herb chicken. Kris was our waiter and he was very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and provided great customer service.

This spot is such a gem for the area! The food blew us away and the drinks were just as good. I wish I could remember our server’s name because he was fantastic, super friendly and made great recommendations. He convinced me to try the cabbage (something I’d normally skip), and wow… one of the best side dishes I’ve ever had!
The fries with all the dips? Unreal. If fries are on the menu, I’m ordering them no questions asked.
After dinner, we checked out their speakeasy. Such a cool vibe! You can even order food there (smaller menu), but just a heads-up it does come with a minimum spend.
Already can’t wait to go back!

One of the best restaurants in Houston!!! Credence is great for both lunch and dinner! Everything on the menu is a winner. The duck is superb, even if you don’t like duck order it! When it came time for my birthday, did I want to go somewhere I had never been, NO, I happily chose Credence for my birthday dinner, and it surely didn’t disappoint!
Excellent food. It is quite loud during peak times.

It is a very nice restaurant with a spacious and beautiful setting. All the waitstaff wear uniforms, which gives it a professional touch. The menu is short and. simple, but the food is well presented and delicious.
