Food prices, portion, and tastes are great compared to most Chinese restaurants. This is my place to go eat now. We used to go to Xinh Xinh and since they became greedy and still dirty, we will stop going there. The only thing I do not like for any restaurant including this one, is they automatically charge gratuity for 6 people and above. So they enforce tips as a fee. Ow and not as up to diners to tip extra. I still strongly believe the tip culture is out of hand bc restaurants need to pay salaries like any other job to employees. I do recommend this place for now. Glad I stoll have good options for chinese food without thr price hike which is overpriced already like Xinh Xinh(poor service low quality and quantity food portion, dirty, overpriced). Only thing needed from this Crown seafood is for them to open late like Xinh Xinh since now they close at 9pm. Even if they open till 11pm helps! Will try to update and add some pictures later.

Feel like I’m back in Hong Kong! The dim sum here was pretty good. We got the egg custard, fried egg custard, beef rice roll, mixed vegetables, and shrimp dumplings. The Po Le tea was quite on point and everything arrived quick. Maybe too quick. I really liked the effective way they have the order form at the door so you can get what you want quick, just like back in Hong Kong. Our waitress was nice and spoke good Cantonese.

The food was subpar this time. The crispy taro wasn’t as tasty as a few months ago.

Love this dim sum place. My parents’ favorite. Better go there early before busy traffic around the area so you can enjoy.

Very substandard dim sum and not much taste with the fried noodles. Would not recommend this restaurant. The price looks cheap at first but it is not even worth the price for the portion they give you.
Excellent Dim Sum dishes, reasonable prices, short wait before noon on a Saturday. Very few non-Asian people there, forks weren't offered, we didn't ask for any.

Very shady place. Taste is average and the service is very demanding.
One of the lady staff asked directly for certain amount in cash for additional tip!! At first we thought the staff wanted the tip in cash, later we found out they were asking for ADDITIONAL TIP!! The lady staff insisted to pay her in cash or we can’t leave. Our relatives came up with only 20 dollar bill and she did not satisfy. It was either a take it or leave it since we don’t have anymore cash. The staff took it of course and with an arrogant attitude.

Food tasted good but had better dimsun. Not juicy dishes served. Service was lacking as needed to ask for water refills during extended times. Limited English made it difficult to communicate.

Hands down a very good Dim Sim restaurant. Houston’s food scene earned my respect and this Dim Sum restaurant is as authentic as it gets.
I ordered my favorite - shrimp rice rolls and it was great. The shu mai and ha caw was good too. The ha caw was a bit dried up, but I ordered DD to deliver to me 30mins away.
I like the food and service here. The gave me everything I requested for and I would definitely recommend. Very good restaurant.
First time eating Dim Sum in Houston, TX and it did NOT disappoint. Coming from Cali I have a high standard for Asian food and I would definitely come back here.

Stopped here at Crown Seafood for some dim sum. We were seated pretty quickly. The food was good. Service was fine. Chili oil and white pepper powder are excellent condiments to go with the items.

I recently visited Crown Seafood for dim sum and had a mixed experience. The food itself was authentic and tasty, with traditional flavors that hit the mark. However, the order-style dim sum (where you check off items on a menu) made the experience feel less authentic compared to the classic push-cart service.
Half the fun of dim sum is seeing the dishes roll by on carts, making it easier to decide what you want and gauge how much to order. With just a menu, it was harder to visualize portions and choose dishes, especially for those new to dim sum.
If you’re looking for solid Cantonese flavors, Crown Seafood delivers—but if you’re craving the full, lively dim sum experience with carts weaving through the dining room, you might leave a little disappointed.

Came on a weekend evening for an early dinner. Everything was really tasty including the salt and pepper fish to jelly soup, lobster, and noddle dishes. The dining space is very big with large circle tables for big groups. Definitely recommend this place as the have a variety of Chinese cuisines and seafood to choose from. We were also given a complimentary dessert jello for the table at the end.
