Visited the place while visiting the Houston Zoo. Limited food options (attached menu) like burger, chicken wings and sandwich. Kiosk is crowded with wait time. Wide seating space available within the cafe and in outdoor.Its like 10mins away from entrance if can wait for better options.
I’ve gone here twice and always get the chicken tenders basket for $16. It comes with two pretty large pieces of chicken breast and a handful of fries. I love the batter on the chicken tenders, and everything always comes out piping hot! It’s not those cheap chicken tenders that you get at a cafeteria or theme park - it’s actually super crispy and juicy chicken lol I do think it’s pricey, but I’m not surprised since it’s the zoo. It was Saturday and of course, expect lots of people. Cypress Circle Cafe is under SSA group which is a company based in CO (!). I'm from CO!! I love the Turkey and Swiss Cheese Sandwich : with cranberry sauce mixed with mayo as the spread which compliments the turkey.
