Delicious meal. We participated in Restaurant Week there and truly enjoyed it. We sat outdoors on the patio and it's a truly pleasant atmosphere

Da Gama Canteen is excellent. Full cocktail program, great Indian fusion food, and even early morning coffee. Great place to stop by anytime of day! Bonus points for the Texas Pecan in their espresso martini!

Went there for restaurant week and it was really a culmination of two different cuisines Portuguese which is primarily seafood based with some potatoes and other issues and also Indian. For example, we have muscles and traditionally they are in white wine but this was in a curry sauce which was great. The wait staff was great. Very accommodating. Food was good on time. Prepared seasoned definitely recommend them.

The food was okay, each dish we had good have been made better. The cocktails were okay as well, the saffron gin and tonic was very strong, had to order an additional glass of tonic to finish it. Service was attentive but the servers didn't seem very knowledgeable about the menu.

Love this place. Ever since they closed down Queen Vic I’ve craved for their scotch egg curry…da Gama is as close as you can get.

Their curries and Indian dishes are really great and they are not afraid to up the heat when the dish calls for it.

My favorite dish here is definitely the chili paneer and charred octopus. The octopus is really tender and the spices are delicious. The lamb kabobs I find a tad bland. You can’t go wrong with the Indian inspired pizzas.

10/10! Not sure why the reviews aren’t higher. I tried for restaurant and tried the Fofos de Bachlau, and this one of the best appetizers I’ve had in a very long time. The Piri Piri oregano chutney that comes with them for dipping is amazing too. I ordered the butter chicken, which came with fresh baked naan, daal (so good), basmati rice, and raiti—all very good, very fresh and great presentation. I got a dessert to go, because I was too full to eat it and will enjoy later at home. Lastly, ordered a hot chai with oatmilk… 20/10! It was amazing. I look forward to making content on this restaurant, very aesthetically enjoyable too. Will definitely return!

Great food and really tasty drinks. Jeremy and Phillipe' took great care of me a the bar. Ask Jeremy about the Passion fruit drink, I'm not sure the name but it was delicious. Thank you for the amazing date night. We'll definitely be back.

Such amazing flavors! Mix of Portuguese, African, and Indian spices for a yummy fusion combo. Came with a group of 10 and service is very accommodating, 20% gratuity included. Atmosphere is glowy and warm, perfect for dates. The MKT walking trail and open shop location is so fun too.

Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. Our server, Maria R, was very impatient and came across as quite rude with everyone at our table. She got several orders wrong and didn’t acknowledge or apologize for the mistakes. The food was just okay — definitely not what we expected from an Indo-Portuguese menu. The lamb kebabs were especially gamy. We were seated outside near a dog park, and the number of flies made it hard to enjoy the meal. Overall, not the best dining experience.

I cannot believe I didn't find this place sooner. I'm almost reluctant to rate it, because I will become a regular and want to keep the gem to myself. Amazing menu, and we ordered almost everything on it, including the desserts. Theusic was on point, the staff was friendly.

Not for anyone with celiacs disease. I understand not every restaurant needs to be allergy-safe, but the handling of our situation was disappointing and off putting.
My husband and I visited for the first time with a group (6 total) on a Tuesday for dinner. While introducing himself, the waiter asked about any food allergies at the table. My husband informed him that he has celiac disease. The waiter assured us that most dishes were gluten-free or could be modified to accommodate his allergy. However, when we went to order, the waiter informed us that there was cross-contamination in many dishes due to the shared fryer which could not be changed. We asked follow-up questions to understand which dishes were truly gluten-free, as many had unexpected fried items. The waiter seemed increasingly annoyed by our questions and made us feel unwelcome. We ordered three dishes that we were assured were gluten-free: hummus, broccoli assado, and pepper paneer. My husband only ate these three dishes and used his own cutlery to serve others who wanted to sample them to avoid any cross-contamination. Unfortunately, before we left the restaurant, my husband experienced an allergic reaction. It was not a minor reaction like those caused by cross-contamination, but rather a significant reaction that indicated he had ingested a significant amount of gluten.

Clearly the importance of allergy safety was not taken seriously and/or was not properly communicated to the kitchen by the waiter. Really disappointing because da Gamma came highly recommended and Indian food is usually a GF safe cuisine.

For someone without food allergies, the food was good. Nothing crave-worthy but I did really enjoy the pizzas with the unexpected flavor combinations. I’d give the restaurant another chance for a dinner without my husband but my first impression was upsetting and will not easily be forgotten.
