We are so sad that Damian's closed. Every time we drove into Houston, we loved coming here. The service was impeccable and food was delicious. Heck we have enjoyed Damians for so long, we would see Astros announcer Milo Hamilton back in the day. Best wishes for your entire restaurant staff in new endeavors ❤️

Birthday celebration for my husband with the family. Excellent service. Appetizers were delicious especially the asparagus with crab and lemon butter. Shrimp pasta divine as was pork chop; sweet potato ravioli - a little bland. Desert presentation lovely. Barolo wine lovely and good value. Crazy good margaritas. Too bad it is closing. A wonderful experience especially for special occasions!
Since the restaurant is closing in about a week, it was extremely crowded and loud. As always, our food was excellent, but the service was slow ... no doubt because of the large crowd. Probably servers have left for other jobs and there wasn't enough staff. We've been going to Damian's for decades, and are sorry to see it closing.
We have loved Damian's for years. It is one of our “go-to” restaurants for special occasions. We are very sorry to see it closing. Maybe enough great ratings will change the owners' mind about close.
Extremely busy understanding they will be closing their doors for good soon. Everyone is trying to get a taste before then. The staff is mediocre at best. It's a one and done for me. Rays in clear lake is same or better.
We went to Damian's prior to attending a theater production at the Hobby Center. Our waiter Benjamin did an outstanding job taking care of us that evening. We skipped appetizers and went straight to ordering our entrees. The veal chop special smothered in a marsala sauce was excellent. Cooked medium to perfection, tender and flavorful. The other entree we ordered was the branzino azzurro. A beautiful filet of white fish, so tender bathed in a wonderful white wine buerre blanc sauce. We completed our dinner with a slice of the Italian cake. Unfortunately, the only negative to the evening was finding out that the shuttle to the theater is no longer offered, effective this week. Everything else was excellent, We will be back !
Place is closing after 40 years and we wanted to go one last time. The place is excellent. Sorry it is closing. It has been a Houston landmark for years. Food is always top notch. Our waiter was not as attentive as usual but he got the job done. I would certainly be going back if they were not closing. (Might sneak in one more trip anyway).
We can never say enough about this wonderful restaurant. It is been a mainstay for my husband when he had his work career in downtown plus special events that we had with family and friends. We will so miss this lovely spot.

We absolutely love Damian's and are so sad they are closing next month. The service is phenomenal, the team is always super attentive and on top of everything! The food is absolutely delicious - must try the focaccia and Shrimp Damian if you haven't! We've enjoyed date nights and family dinners here and will miss it greatly. Thank you for providing such an incredible dining experience!!
Wonderful “finale” for our family. I have personally been going to Damian's for many years. Both for businesses dinners and personal dinners. Always a favorite for special occasions. When we heard they were closing for good we had to have one last experience there. What a sad but gratifying evening...Bellissima Serata”!. “Goditi la pensione !”
Spot on drinks, food and service. It's sad to see this gem close. Good value for quality. Sure the dining area could be refreshed, I think the family is ready to call in the bulldozers and level the lot for more apartments, townhomes or condos.
This has been our favorite restaurant for years! We are so sad that they are closing August 17, 2024. If you love great Italian food, make your reservations now before it's too late! Thank you Damien's for 40 years of food, fellowship and fun! What a legacy! We will miss you! Arreviderci!
As always, the food and service fantastic and the environment superb. Jose is “the man” when it comes to cordial and professional service! WHY ARE YOU CLOSING???? Houston will not be the same without this long-term gem that we have so loved for years.
