Long-time favorite in Rice Village! Very reliably delicious food. The Wild Mushroom and Walnut Tortellini is one-of-a-kind and scrumptious. Very pleasant outdoor dining area. Highly recommend!

The food here was insanely mediocre there’s much better food restaurants around town. The owner and staff were extremely rude. My granddaughter went to the bathroom and she accidentally through paper towels into the toilet instead of the trash then the owner walks up to us on our way out saying how the security guard had said she saw my granddaughter walk out of the MENS RESTROOM?? Then proceeded to say how they had cameras in the bathroom?? Absolutely insane. The owner was extremely rude to my granddaughter when she was only 6 years old at the time. They claim to have a family atmosphere but that’s obviously false. Please don’t go here.

Me and a friend ordered take out from the bar. The younger guy (probably in his 20s) at the bar was not friendly. We felt like we weren’t welcome for some reason. We tried being extra friendly and thankful, and nothing changed. We let the guy know we would be eating outside on the patio next door with our friends who were eating at Mendocino Farms and they could serve the food for dine-in rather than to-go as we were originally thinking. On the way out, we grabbed two sets of silverware. We ended up sitting indoors at Mendocino’s due to rain. About a minute later, a lady from this restaurant walked up unannounced, snatched up the silverware and slapped down to-go plastic wear, walked away not saying a word! My friend kindly called her out saying that such behavior was uncalled for and that we were going to bring it back after our dinner. She walked off, so he followed her to the restaurant. She said “sorry but I’ve never have someone steal our silverware like that before.” My friend explained the situation and they ended up apologizing and refunding both our meals. Sorry but this is just unacceptable customer service. I’ve worked in the food industry for over 10 years and I would be outraged if any of my employees or coworkers provided this level of service. I won’t be back!

My husband and I happened upon D'Amico's by accident. Decided to stop in for lunch. The atmosphere was cozy, and reminded me of home (originally from the North). The waiter was a professional, attentive and quick on his feet elder gentleman. We didn't catch his name, but really felt it was some of the better customer service we have experienced in a long time. The food- I had the sausage and peppers. *chefs kiss* Best I've had. The garlic cloves mixed in with the peppers was a nice touch. Husband had the meatball sandwich. He felt the meatballs were a little dry, but the sandwich was tasty. (He is also super picky! lol) We both had the house salad. Nicely dressed. Then we had to try the dessert of course. The tiramisu was top notch, but the cannoli ?. FINALLY we found a good cannoli with a traditional filling in the south! The cherry in top- It was affordable! Great prices for great food, service and atmosphere. We will be back, and will bring every member of my Italian family when they visit from up North!

We went for the first time on a Monday. Our waitress, Yvonne, was also the bartender and she took great care of us and was fun. She did get a little busy and forget a couple things, but she had a large table come in. Drinks were great. My husband had the chicken Parmesan and it was fantastic! Best marinara I've had in some time. I had the chicken picatta and it was also delicious. The chicken was so tender and the sauce was just right. We both had the Caesar salad which was also delicious. For dessert I had the chocolate mousse cake and it was all I had hoped for. Would go back any time. Also liked that it has some shelf stable market items you can take home.

Been coming here for years and always a pleasure eating here. Chicken braciolentini is so freaking good. Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken was also very good. Service was a bit off tonight, but nothing horrible. Desserts were so-so.

Small neighborhood eatery in Rice Village. Service was quick friendly and he knew the menu well (Peter served us). My dinner was simple old school potato gnocchi (they were gluten free!) with ample italian sausage and a thick rich creamy rosa sauce. My dinner partner had veal saltumbucca and said it was amazing as well. Even though we were stuffed after dinner we indulged in a scoop of housemade Texas pecan gelato. It was the kind of dessert that made you close your eyes after the first bite to simply relish the flavor. There is also a small market of italian pastas and staples. As we were leaving we asked the young gentleman at the coffee/wine bar about the frozen drink he was dispensing and he served us a generous sample of professional grade peach belinni with peach vodka. All in all the evening was a complete pleasant surprise (and it is next door to the parking garage!). When we visit Houston again, we will happily return.

Ate lunch there and ordered dinner to take out Service was great - artichoke appetizer tasty Small house salad a very good size Bread rolls served with evoo on the table a nice touch More rolls included w my take out meal Loved the gelato options for dessert The dinner pasta noted as homemade was tasty but could have used more seasonings The type of pasta was not as noted - it was spaghetti instead Overall it was worthwhile- good location too The atmosphere seemed perfect for an Italian restaurant- market! Would go back

Bread was cold, calamari was chewy, overall food was subpar. The service was terrible instead of escorting us to our table the greeter just pointed us to our table. Water was barely attentive and he had a body o-o-o-dear!!!!

Food was spectacular, as authentic as you can get. Like the Italians say, it’s not Italian if you cannot pair it with a good wine followed by delicious gelato. The gelato rolled off your tongue: smooth, delectable and amazing flavors. You could taste the freshness of the gelato. No complaints in terms of plant based options, I paired my white pasta with a bottle of the finest wine and it is so good I had to come back. They could do better training the waiters, but otherwise, I loved the food.
