Dante's is a delightful hidden gem in Houston! Perfect date night spot that I've been to several times. The service, food, and atmosphere are all top-notch. I especially appreciate the manager, Elena. She's professional and always friendly, ensuring that each customer has a wonderful experience! Seek her out if you want a good wine recommendation, too :)

This was one of the worst meals I’ve eaten. The service was terrible. We physically had to wave and flag down our server so we could order. There were maybe 3 tables at the time total. I ordered the risotto with veal ossobuco and it had absolutely no flavor. The risotto was so bland, I made the rest of the table try it because I was in disbelief. They charged $20 a head to reserve the table, then forgot to credit that to our bill. I would never recommend this place.

Went here last night… took over an hour and 15 mins just to get a very salty manzanella salad that was raw chunks of onion, tomatoes, and croutons drenched in vinegar. The waitress has described this as being “leafy” and one of their best. There was not a single piece of lettuce. We ordered the special risotto amatreciana and chicken cacciatora… risotto was not properly cooked thru as it was hard and lacked any flavor. I came here for this dish and left very disappointed… chicken tasted liked boiled chicken with tomato juice poured on top. No seasoning not even salt… Food was very bad and over hyped. We waited 20 mins to even have someone take our order after being seated. It’s a cute spot and nice atmosphere but service and food are definitely lacking. With so many better Italian options in Houston… this one isn’t the place to be.

Awesome find! Perfect for date night! We had our weekly dinner date last week. We reserved the counter, which is a bit more informal and you have a view of the chef preparing the dishes. The food is delicious, very authentic Italian cuisine. And the owner, who also grows grapes and makes wine in Italy, gave a great recommendation, excellent wine and very reasonably priced. We will be back!

By far one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. The last time we had such amazing authentic Italian food was in Italy in Florence and Venice. The chef is amazing.... everything we had was to die for. The pasta is fresh made everyday. The chef grows his own basil....it's just so fresh, light and perfection in taste. The service is the best of anywhere we have ever been. We had the eggplant appetizer, lasagna, squid pasta, and tiramisu!!!

As an Italian abroad I decided to try this restaurant with my wife and discover if we would find an Italian fine dining experience. We were delighted to find the real taste of our country and a great atmosphere. Great wine selection too. It was a real fine dining experience. Highly recommended. Looking forward to come back!

We arrived a bit early. Small place and tables were empty, so we were seated right away. Our initial server was nice then we waited about 10 minutes before the second server assisted us. No issues with the wait. A gentlemen behind us with a suit spoke to a few people at the bar but not us. No issue with that either at the moment. As people started to come into the restaurant, he would greet them with open arms and smiles. His custom and courtesies with them were above the standard, to include bringing them bread. Maybe they were regulars but we felt a certain way towards how he would speak to everyone but us. We were not looking for special treatment, but a simple hi would have been a nice gesture. Especially after finding out he was the owner. We left without ordering dinner. It reminds me more of a cafe than restaurant. We do not recommend this place. There was a recent review which "seemed" to have the same experience we had as well.

This place use to be called (concura) before it was dante, not sure why they closed down we weren’t a fan of the service there unfortunately .. The owner said they are the same restaurant just renamed it .. but (same chef) we dined in on a Thursday night around 7:30pm restaurant was very empty but we decided to give it a try! The bartender apparently was our server , we started off with the oven cooked oysters a dozen.. we received them and they were so bland and no flavor at all! for it being charred/ garlic butter Italian style… disappointing we sent it back & the bartender server seemed to be annoyed and changed attitude with us quick! Completely avoiding us every time we looked to him wanting service! Our main entrees were “their most popular” on the menu I got the (clam spaghetti alle vongole) very bland also and chunks of clam shell in the pasta! :( my friend ordered the ravioli with clams! Did not look like ravioli & he said the pasta was mushy! I wish we took a picture before we picked at the food and sent it back like we did the oysters! We asked to speak with the manager to adjusting the bill ESPECIALLY that we didn’t even eat anything! He came over for a quick second to say what was wrong with the food and bragged about “owning several restaurants & wineries apparently “ instead of being concerned with the issues we had with the food , we received the bill & he only took the oysters off… horrible experience I wish it exceeded our expectations of giving this Italian restaurant a second chance after changing names! I do not recommend it here. I’m going to name 3 of my TOP Italian restaurant experiences in Houston Texas! GIACOMOS, ZANTI, AMORE! Respectfully giving my own experience.

Lovely authentic Italian restaurant. Excellent Italian wine, suggested by Piero. We enjoyed a generous charcuterie board (with foccacia and piadina breads baked on site)and multiple pastas, all excellent, but the saffron shrimp gnocchi, superb! Limoncello to finish, of course.
This is as close to Italy as you will get with Piero and servers glad to recommend and discuss the wine, food, and culture. A new regular for me! Highly recommended.

Wow! An amazing hidden gem! Came for our 1 year anniversary and had an amazing experience. The food was perfect and the drinks as well. The music and the decorations were on point as well. This will become a regular spot for us. Thanks chef Angelo and his staff. ?

Steak Tartare with an uneven seasoning balance; overcooked pasta; the "non-traditional" cinghiale is a blend of knife chopped meat and ground beef (boar?); chocolate (defrosted) cake was very dense and deflated.
