From the moment I spoke with David on the phone he made me feel calm. I was worried and stressed over planning a wedding but this part of the wedding I knew would be in good hands. I immediately felt a good energy with speaking on the phone with David, so I had my mom join the conversation. David had patience on the phone answering our inquiries to build confidence we were in good hands. My mom looked over his website and ended up selecting the various meals for the wedding. This will be a memory I can look back and laugh at since my mom was so exciting as if it was her wedding. David was easy to communicate with via phone, email, and text with being responsive to anything I needed. David has competitive pricing compared to other vendors and will work withing your wedding budget. I would love to refer David to others since his expertise is superior. I also trusted David to make and design my wedding cake. I send him some pictures of various cakes I felt reflected my vision and provided him full creative vision. David is well connected in the industry, and he invited my husband and I to a wedding event to taste food to see if we wanted to make any changes and decide on the flavors of each layer of cake. Finally, the day of the wedding came and when we arrived at the reception, we were pleased with the food service. Guests appeared to be happy with the appetizers and felt comfortable with getting drinks from David’s certified staff at the bar. From the starting course to the ending meal; everything had flavor and was received well. My husband and I needed a catering company that could merge Louisiana Creole with Mexican American heritage with spice, flavor, and creativity. Overall, the entire staff exceeded my expectations with their professionalism. The staff was organized all around the reception venue to be attentive to all my guest especially myself and husband. The staff was well dressed, courteous, and watchful of any needs we needed. At all times we had drinks brought to us and if we looked up and made eye contact with the staff, they came over immediately. I will be using David Alcorta and his staff again for our next event. Excellent is an understatement to the service he provided. My entire family and friends all loved the food and experience his staff provided. The food is a memorial takeaway that everyone will reflect on so ensure that you select someone like David Alcorta!

I really wanted to believe the positive reviews for David Alcorta catering but unfortunately this was my first and the last time I use his services. I ordered a 3 tier (Bluey cartoon) cake with Bingo as the star for my 3 year old's party and although I constantly communicated with him and asked for pictures of the progress, he still didn't quite understand what I wanted and he refused to provide photos until the day of our event. Unfortunately, the cake topper he made for the cake was the mom Chilli and not Bingo! If I hadn't requested a picture on the day of the party I would have been surprised upon arrival. Here's the story: Early on Saturday morning I asked him again to please send me a picture and when I saw it was the wrong character I asked him to fix it (this would not have been an issue if the day prior he would have sent me a photo!) So due to the time he printed a faded copy of what I sent him as example of what I wanted although he said he would fix the character he made in fondant to match Bingo and he didn't deliver what was requested of him! It is unfortunate that I had to experience this on the day of my daughters birthday at the price I paid! After the party I asked him for a discount due to the unforseen and nonsensical issues and he said the discount was the free delivery he had offered me two days prior! Wow! What a "professional" human being. I can say this, the cake was cute but his mistake made the cake look tacky. Furthermore the pictures printed for the cake of the city was falling apart and didn't go all around the cake as requested - this could have been due to him starting the cake late on Thursday and finishing the day of. It seems he may be good at catering, but he's not that great at cakes unless you're looking for something simple! Mr. Alcorta isn't quite a humble and caring person either, instead of getting an apology he decided to offend me - trust me if you want someone to make a great cake look elsewhere.

David catered our family Christmas dinner and it was just what we needed. The brisket was a hit and we had plenty of leftovers. Several family members requested that the brisket becomes a tradition! The vegetable medley was well seasoned and even family who do not normally like vegetables enjoyed them. The Spice Cake was beautifully decorated and had a great flavor. Thanks to David for making our Christmas dinner memorable!

David Alcorta Catering catered my office's (social distanced!) Christmas party with individually boxed charcuterie spreads, and they were as beautiful as they were delicious! The chicken salad was, hands down, the best chicken salad I've ever had in my life. Highly highly recommend!!

Great service and great cakes

Dave catered our sons graduation party. He came in and set up and had everything ready for the party when we arrived. All of the food was delicious! Several of our guest commented on how good the food was. The graduation cake that Dave designed for our son was beautiful. Dave made our special day relaxing and more memorable.
