For over 20 years, we have been dining at Del Vista ( formerly La Vista) since it opened in its various locations. Food and drinks are consistently delicious and fresh! The Orange Blossom, Buffalo Orange Old Fashioned and French 75 were perfect! The filet with bone marrow butter , grilled salmon with cucumber avocado relish and seared Ahi tuna were cooked to perfection ! Tres Leches and Whiskey pecan pie with chocolate chips were equally as good as the entrees. Service is also outstanding! Last night , Jet, was our server and he was excellent! We will continue to dine here ! Highly recommend!

Went to Del Vista last night and were very impressed. It’s not often you find a place where all the tables and barstools are full. Their secret is a casual, friendly, intimate setting where all servers and busboys pitch in together and customers feel like they are at a dinner party, with a diverse quality menu for everyone (salads, pizzas , pastas, fish, chicken, pork, steaks, several specials) and at prices that don’t break the bank. This is a combination you rarely find anymore, well done Del.

Greg Gordon cooks up some of the most delicious food I've ever had. His original recipes will take your taste buds to the next level. He has been serving up delicious food in Houston for more than 25 years, and it's definitely worthy of a visit. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you. Enjoy!
Ed took excellent care of us considering he had a whole area all his own. However, they were not serving the Summer Salad which we came for AND there was an "energetic" child in table next to us in the bar. Wish children would sit more in the restaurant and not in the bar area.

Once again, Del Vista just knocks it out of the park. A variety of menu offerings and specials make it difficult to choose. The food is delicious and wine prices are very reasonable. We'll return soon!

Here's a secret that only frequent customers know about. They almost always have their ceviche available, but no one knows it. IT IS OUT OF THIS WORLD good. Next suggestion would be the end of the meal bc you can order any entrée you want bc they are all fabulous. Your end your meal suggestion (I never eat dessert at other restaurants) would be... a piece of their "Coconut Creme Pie".

Del Vista has fabulous food! I do not recommend it for romantic dinner unless you enjoy sitting at the bar. It “could be” romantic but it is very loud. If you are lucky to sit in the back Cool People room, it is better! But no matter what, it is one of our favorite places!! The specials are fabulous and wait staff and management top notch. We dine in frequently! My fav dishes are many but Ceviche, mussels, shrimp & grits, risotto, and soooo much more! Love it!

Truly a hidden gem. Kitchen was pretty quick, you're taken good care of with water refills and the atmosphere is nice with pictures. I don't drink but everyone was drinking wine there so I guess they got good stuff. The taste to price ratio is very reasonable.

The staff were professional and extremely friendly. Very well trained and were very knowledgeable about what they had on the menu. The filet I got was cooked perfectly the way I asked and the next thing I knew the plate was empty; it tasted divine. 11/10 service and hospitality and ambience.

It was way too loud in there. I requested a quiet table. I could not hear the people on either side of me. We were all shouting at each other and still couldn't hear. We just gave up and left. Probably would have lingered longer and had dessert but no way. Food was great and we all were impressed with that. But unless you get sound absorption or set aside a room for those who don't like to scream during dinner, I doubt we'll be back. Shame.

We arrived just after 7:00 pm and were seated promptly. It took far too long for out server to greet us and ask about drinks. My drink came fairly quickly, while my dining partner's did not. We waited several more minutes for the other drink. Things moved along fine from there until we ordered a second round of drinks. The drinks were not forthcoming after a long wait. I finally asked another server to please check on them. The other server brought the drinks immediately and indicated they were sitting on the bar. My companion refused his as he was not happy about the delay. Please note, that during this time or server was nowhere to be found. More unfortunate was the lack of any recognition of, or apology about what occurred. The food was great, but the lack of attentiveness was not.
