I seldom post food but today we went for Torta Ahogadas which originated in Guadalajara, Jalisco, México at Dichos Taqueria in Houston. Torta de carnitas y frijoles smothered in Red chile sauce. Excellent breakfast tacos packed with tasty ingredients. I ordered chorizo/ potato. Ham/egg/cheese. Jalapeño sausage/ egg. The sausage wasn’t as spicy as I would expect but still had a good flavor. Friendly staff!
This place is a personal favorite and comfort food at this point. Their mole enchiladas is easily in my top 3 mole dishes I've had. Their mega burrito is always a safe as well! Years ago they would be open on Xmas and I would go each year not having any family in TX. The staff always seems like they genuinely care about their customers and their service. Gonna miss this place when I move out of the neighborhood!
