I truly enjoy the dining experience here. The food is fantastic and an elevated expression of Vietnamese food. My favorites are the snow mushrooms, braised pork belly and the banh xeo. The cocktail menu is creative and has many options worth trying out.

Regarding gluten-free and celiac, they were knowledgeable about cross contamination and were able to provide clear information about the safe foods. In a celiac sense, it felt safe. On the other hand, the food itself was very subpar. The Pandan Fried Okra was terrible, it could not be eaten because it was incompletely cooked. The tofu and mushroom curry was oily, tofu was weirdly breaded, and overall not great. I think this place was trying to be fusion or something but it did not succeed.

Service was great! They gave plenty of recommendations and they did not let me down. They were able to accommodate my large family! The good and drinks were good, i can't choose a favorite (maybe the curry). It smelt so good and we were so hungry that I forgot to take pictures. We ended up getting what felt like 20 items and they were all amazing!! It's such a nice and interesting modern twist on vietnamese food. I need to go back in the morning and try something from their bakery. The space was nice and dim, but not too dim. It very cute inside and has really clean restrooms!

This place does not accommodate people with allergies and was quite rude about it.

Hello gluten free everything!! Well, almost everything. It's so wonderful to go to a place with a menu I can order almost anything from and it's all great food!! A fun thing here is all the different cocktails and they are all served in different types of cups or glasses. Cheers to threat food and fun drinks!!

It's really not often to find a place that excels in everything but here, there were no misses! The ambiance is quaint, authentic decor but still traditional, and inviting. There's not many tables, and I did notice the volume of talking traveled. The service was great. I wish I got her name. She made recommendations, was knowledgeable, and attentive. The price was fair. I felt the quality matched the price and portions were adequate. We got so many things. I would go back and get every single one. The happy hour menu is nice and $7 cocktails is a great offering. I got the branzino and I would have liked seasoning on the fish and a little crispier skin but the salad paired well. This may become a go-to!

What a great experience. A small place in a strip center in the Heights with elevated Vietnamese food and creative drinks. I took a Vietnamese friend who tends to be hyper critical of food. He was enamored with the modern twists to traditional dishes. The co-owner Mandy Tran made it even more special when describing the origins of each dish to us. Definitely going back and taking my friends.

Went to dinette with high expectations but didn't enjoy the food in particular.Ordered the spring roll, tofu mushroom curry and panda fried okraThe spring roll was just ur run of the mill spring roll so not so bad. The tofu mushroom curry wasn't anytbing crazy and pandan fried okra just wasn't for me, the texture didn't cut it for me but maybe others will enjoy it.

Was so happy to finally try this place out, it certainly lived up to the hype. We came around 5:30pm on a Friday and were able to be easily seated (it has a small interior, but don't let that stop you), They have a great happy hour, cocktails and small plates at great prices. They have a ton of food options, all Vietnamese influenced, and lots of fun cocktails. We tried a bunch of things...some of the highlights include the Vietnamese pizza (must get), Pandan Coconut Shrimp skewers, and Fried Okra. In reality, everything we ordered was something I would easily get again, so you really cannot go wrong! The indicator of a great place. Staff was super friendly and the right level of attentive. Parking can be tight...they have a few reserved spots in front of the restaurant, otherwise you fight for parking with others in the strip center or park on the street behind.

Was excited to try this place because of good average score. Disappointed. Especially in the Vietnamese hotspot Houston.Interior is pretty cool/sleek and staff was very nice. But the food…just not tasty. Had Hanoi rolls, snow mushroom salad and fries. Nothing is really “Vietnamese” - it’s all fusion and not flavorful at all. Snow mushroom salad was even bland.

This review is long overdue. Simply said, this establishment delivers consistently and offers both fantastic dishes alongside creative cocktails. This spot is unassuming and located in the shopping strip alongside a craft brewer, a crawfish joint (also worth it), and a liquor store. Parking can be limited so Uber if you're close by. Otherwise, there's parking around the area if you are willing to walk. Once inside, you'll be met with an environment that works for both small and large groups. My suggestion is sit at the bar, the bartenders are attentive and offer great suggestions on food and drink.Food & Drink - 5*There's really not much to be said other than there are tons of amazing dishes and drinks. We've had the entire menu at this point on your multiple visits. Some personal favorite cocktails are: Hot Hand, Jean-Claude Pandan, Blame it on the Cane, Enjoy the Silence, and the Dinette G&T - a unique twist on the classic. For food, some go to items are: Hanoi egg rolls, Rice Paper Salad, Wagyu betel skewers, Pho nachos, Vietnamese grilled pizza, Dinette fried rice, and the Lemongrass chicken roulade. The only dish I would not get again were the wings. They just didn't deliver. A bit soggy, fatty, and not on the level of the other dishes.Service - 5*The service has been consistently solid every time we've been. They are attentive, refilling water, making sure you have all the food you want put in, and genuinely personable.Cost - 5*Always subjective, but in a world where restaurant meals continue to increase prices and the value continues to go down, this spot has really nailed creative, forward cocktails and dishes while maintaining an approachable price for a nice meal on a weekend night with a date or celebrating with friends.Overall - 5*This is one of my go to spots and if you give it a shot, you'll hopefully walk away with similar impressions.

We sampled many dishes at this innovative Vietnamese restaurant. For appetizer, we had pandan okra, and spring rolls. The tools were delicious, but the okra was old and hard to chew, also didn’t taste of pandan at all. Cocktails were on point. They put their spin on tacos and pizza, and we gave them both a try. However they were a bit too greasy for our liking. We also shared lobster salted egg fried rice. We couldn’t taste salted egg even though that should be the highlight of the dish. Overall, food was sub par for the pricing. Interesting ideas not well executed. Good service and vibe.

I had been dying to check out Dinette as I had heard nothing but great things about the food, drinks, and service- I am happy to report I was definitely NOT disappointed! My partner and I got the Pho Nachos and Brisket Stir-Fry which were both delicious. I also got a Pineapple Green Tea drink which was refreshing and delicious as it was aesthetically pleasing. Will definitely be going back soon!!

Such an amazing local Vietnamese spot. The staff was super knowledgeable about the menu and kind. The food was great and the menu was 100% gluten free except for the banh mi! Definitely get the egg rolls and the lobster fried rice.
