Love the story behind this local coffee roaster. The owner, Alex does a masterful job in communicating his love and passion for coffee. It's incredible when you think how these beans are roasted and then shipped halfway across the world in order to make it to your cup. We contacted Alex to set up a time to sample some pourovers. It was great to hear his heart and how he came to be at District. We were grateful for the stories of him partnering to empower roasters from Costa Rica, Salvador, and other places. Every type of roast has a story behind it. Not to mention that he is able to supply us ground beans at a good price. Also impressed with his service and care for us as customers. I love trying coffee beans from different roasters and ran across District at the Rice Village Farmers Market. Had to buy a 12 ounce bag of whole beans because the aroma eminating from the bag was amazing. Took them home, ground some and my wife and I fell in love with it. We have an ever changing array of coffee beans from different roasters and since the Whiskey Whisperer Reserve Coffee hit the shelve.....that's all we've ground.....grind half a cup of beans, put it in kcups, drink......repeat....life is good!

I've ordered coffee beans from various roasters before, but District Roasters is no doubt my favorite! First off, Alex is a super cool dude who cares about coffee and the customer. He is great to communicate with and gets you the coffee fast. Second, Alex really cares about the people who produce the beans and he makes sure it is ethically sourced. District Roasters has a great purpose beyond just providing a superb cup of coffee. Finally, the coffee is in fact fantastic! It is freshly roasted and shipped to you quickly. The Ethiopian has been my favorite so far, but I'm excited to try the special Whiskey Reserve I just got in the mail. Definitely give District Roasters a shot!

If you’re looking for a coffee roaster in North Houston, look no further. I was able to stop by and purchase the house blend and Colombia coffee. I mentioned to Alex that I owned a Moccamaster and went with his recommendation of a medium (drip/pour over) grind for the beans.Alex and his wife have an awesome operation going on at DISTRICT and I’m thrilled to have found them for all of my coffee needs.It’s been less than a week since my purchase and I can confidently say this is some of the best coffee my family and I have ever tasted. Seriously, I can’t wait to order more coffee from their online store.
